On the Other Side: Daffodil Day Pt. III

September 22nd, 2008 @ 5:50 pm by Mrs. Daffodil

Pt. I: Make Me Pretty!
Pt. II: Time To Get Bridal!

z154096

There is just something so charismatic and sharp (or should I just say HOT!) about a bunch of guys all dressed up! The photo above is from our teaser pictures!

Meanwhile, the guys were already getting started on their photography session. Given how much longer it would take the ladies to get ready, we thought this would be a good use of that time! But let’s backtrack a sec though, and take a walk through their morning up to this point!

Mr. D woke up that morning and had breakfast at home with his family. He went through the usual routine of showering up and gelling the hair (it is so easy for guys, isn’t it?!). Then, he and BIL Daffodil both headed off for the church together.

Upon their arrival, they headed to the “groom’s room”. Now, our church had a special room designed as the bride’s chamber and there was no formal room for the groom, so they had the guys get ready in the vestry. The thing is, I actually thought their ‘getting ready’ area was so much nicer! Check out their space!

I love how spacious and sunny it is! Anyway, the boys ate a quick lunch together (after the bridesmaids had first helped themselves and were already out of sight!). Then it was time to get ready for their photo session. They put on their tuxes, fixed their ties, straightened up their vests, and they were ready to go.

Here is my groom! Isn’t he handsome?

As they headed into the church to take pictures, Mr. D suddenly stopped. Two friends had arrived with the “goods”. More on this later, but in short, Mr. D had something up his sleeve for our reception! He checked it out, and made sure everything was all set. And it was good!

The guys started their formal portraits, with Mr. D getting a shot with each groomsman.

Here he is with BIL Daffodil…

And the photo shoot began. Now, I don’t want to spoil the pics for you all, since these are all the raw images and I just know the post-processed ones are going to jump even more! But here is a preview…

Mr. D with all his groomsmen and ushers…

So simple and classy.

Looking mighty fine, boys!!

Afterwards, the guys headed out to decorate the car, while Mr. D headed back to his room for a quiet moment to go over his vows… and to get ready to see me!

Next up: Our first look!

All photos (with the exception of the fourth and fifth photo) were taken by Scott Robert and Esther Lee of Scott Robert Photography. And believe it or not, most of these are all raw images (before any editing!). Please be sure to credit Scott Robert Photography if any photos are re-posted.
