We’ve reached the day where we can take a sneak peek at the 10-day forecast at Weather.com! I can see what it will be like for the rehearsal, but not the actual day of. However, AccuWeather does give a 15-day forecast—and they are not in 100% agreement.

Weather.com says 20% chance of precipitation the day before the wedding.
Accuweather.com says mostly cloudy the day before the wedding, and mostly sunny for the day of the wedding.
So which is it, Forecasting Professionals—
rain or no rain? If it rains, it’s going to cost us a few more grand to pay for the tents. So please dear Hive, send some no-rain juju out in to the universe for me, okay? It wouldn’t be the end of the world, but at this point, any penny saved is well, a penny saved! It could mean more to spend on tax-free shopping during our Portland, Oregon Minimoon, right?
On a brighter note, this rain would not affect most of our wedding day decor—so I’ve just kept on’a truckin’ on my DIY wedding adventures. In fact, Auntie Sue came over last week to demo a couple of the centerpieces. She brought the makings for one tall centerpiece and one short centerpiece.

Each vase has it’s own flower—the largest will have green dahlias or mums in it, but we used this greenery in their place. The middle vase will have white roses and the smallest, a random succulent. The candles shown here are just ones I had around the house—ours will be square frosted glass tea lights.
This was SO hard to photograph, so I apologize in advance. Curly willow was adorned with baby’s breath (I am not one of those brides who hates baby’s breath—I love it) and a few white blossoms are placed throughout.

A shot of the black glass Eiffel tower vase in its entirety. Can you spot the black glitter table numbers working their magic in the middle there?
Then she started to throw some of the miscellaneous greenery and roses together to demo my bouquet and get an idea of how large I wanted it to be. I love what she came up with—it’s classic with the white roses, and it’s made rustic with the succulents. Hopefully, she’ll be able to throw in some gorgeous dahlias in the mix to modernize it a smidge more.

I LOVE how rustic and gorgeous this bouquet sample looked with the white roses and succulents.
I love what she’s come up with, and can’t wait to see it in action on the day of the wedding. Now that everything is coming together, I’m actually REALLY excited. As is Mr. Pomegranate—he keeps telling me just how excited he is. Sometimes he’s excited that the wedding is almost here, and sometimes it’s that the wedding is almost over and we can get back to our normal lives!
