About Mrs. Coconut

Check These Out!

September 25th, 2008 @ 4:20 pm by Mrs. Coconut

I know you are anxiously awaiting to see our gorgeous letterpress invitations, right? Kristin of Twin Ravens Press was an amazing vendor. She put up with the 50 emails I’d send her each week and was very prompt to return them. She even did separate mailings of other stationery so that we could get our invites out on time.

She is seriously the cat’s meow. (Mr. Coconut just made fun of me for using that expression, but I don’t care, it’s true!)

Check out her amazing work:

Sorry to blur out some of the information! The calligraphy is by the fabulous Michele Clark.

Here’s our accommodations/directions card. * I just realized I spelled accommodations incorrectly. Whoops, totally my bad. Oh well, I doubt many noticed!

Here’s a close-up of the map.

Many other bees inspired our RSVP card! Do you recognize the various elements?

Another look!

Kristin graciously offered to stamp the back of our envelopes!!!

It was an amazing process, and it was so nice to work with such a wonderful person! If you’re thinking that letterpress is out of your budget, just give it a shot. We got an amazing deal from Kristin because we ordered other things from her including menus, program covers, place cards, and thank you cards. It was honestly the best decision we’ve made and everyone just loved the invitations! I’ll post the other things Kristin made for us later!

Are you thinking of going letterpress for your invitations?  Share with us some great vendors you’ve found!

Those little birds flitting around the cards are so cheerful and fun. I would definitely send you a fun shoutout with them giving me the encouragement.

I have ‘accommodations’ spelled incorrectly on our wedsite. My Mom (the spelling police) pointed it out. My fiance said it would be a pain to fix it, so there it stays. I don’t think anyone other than Mom has noticed (and if they have, they’ve been kind enough not to mention it).

Your invitations are adorable!

I adore those maps, especially with the little magnified circle. They’re so adorable while being functional at the same time!

@beaninca: It’s hard to calculate how much the invitations cost, because I had Kristin make a bunch more stuff, which yielded a slight discount in the long run. To give you an idea though, the invitations (invite, RSVP, direct/accom), program covers, thank you cards & envelopes, menus and place cards were around $900. A big number to be sure, but in the long run, saved me a ton of time, and really helped with the look and feel of our wedding. Hope that helps!

Miss Coconut - I actually don’t think that price is bad for everything you had printed. Could you post/email Kristin’s contact info? This post might have finally persuaded me to go for it.
