5 Minutes and You’ve Got a Nest

September 26th, 2008 @ 4:50 pm by Mrs. Espresso

Last night I made the nest our ring bearer will carry down the aisle. And baby - it took me 5 minutes… I’m in love. :)

Here’s what I used. Everything is from Michael’s:

Step 1: Take the moss and nest out of the package, and put a handful of the moss inside the nest.

Step 2: Take your ribbon, cut some off, and place it under your nest.

Step 3: Tie the Ribbon.

Seriously the best DIY project ever for a craft novice like myself.

The ribbon was a bit too wide, so I’ll need to get a smaller one. But to get a feel of how it will look, I cut the ribbon I had in half. It’s so much prettier and you can actually see that there’s a nest under there. :)

And here I am “cheers”ing your with my nest. I have dark circles, I’m scarily happy and…

I’m eating the Dinner of Champions. ;)

What do you think?

Really cute! Will the moss come undone? I’m just afraid idle ring bearer might start picking at it.

@jen: wow good eye! you definitely know you’re Tiffanys!
@jacz: Surprisingly, the moss stays put really well. So much that it was a bit difficult for me to rip apart to put in the nest. But you could hot glue some of it to help the idle ring bearer. You definitely got me thinking about that now ;)
