Hi Hive,
It’s been a few months since my last post. Married life has been amazing and crazy at the same time. So many unexpected events have happened since our wedding day. And we just celebrated one awesome Jelly-filled year of marriage! Yeay!
So before our lives are filled with many more new memories, I wanted to relive one of the happiest days of our lives.

8:00 AM: Good morning world! I slept less than four hours the night before the wedding. FYI: Not the best game plan.
8:30 AM: Bridesmaids start to get their hair and makeup done. Groomsmen still sleeping. Lucky punks!
9:45 AM: Bride, that would be me, starts to get her hair and makeup done while everyone enjoys breakfast. I could not eat because I was so excited. FYI: Bad bride, it is advisable that you eat something the morning of your wedding.
10:00 AM: Our fantabulous photographer arrives to capture all the girly action. Guys start to wake up.
1:00 PM: Groom’s formal family photos along with the groomsmen. Bride, her family, and bridesmaids get their pictures taken. We knew from the very beginning that we did not want to see each other before the ceremony, so it was a little tricky being that we were in the same hotel and on the same floor.
2:00 PM: Guys leave for the church. FYI: Due to budget constraints, we used one limo to shuttle both the boys and the girls to the church, which worked out really well.
2:30 PM: Going to the chapel of loooooove (my poor attempt to sing)!
2:45 PM: We arrive at the church early. I love my time line. FYI: Planning, planning, and more planning does pay off after all!
2:50 PM: The clouds don’t look too great. Bummer!
2:55 PM: Our wedding planner informs me that the priest wants me to choose between having communion or having the swags up. This is a potential Bridezilla moment, because he knew way in advance that we were having swags and communion. He informed as during our meeting that as long as we are on time, which we were, there would be no issues.
2:57 PM: I was ushered in quickly to the back of the church because it started to drizzle. Mr. Jelly Beans promised not to look. FYI: I was supposed to enter from the church doors, another bummer!
3:00 PM: Processional begins, along with my tears.
3:45-5:00 PM: Bridal party pictures
5:00-6:00 PM: Bridal party hops on the Double Decker Tour bus for their tour of Ottawa on the way to the NAC. Bride and Groom (Mr. and Mrs. Jellybeans) take their portraits.
5:30-6:30 PM: Cocktail hour for the rest of the guests.
6:30-7:00 PM: Guests are seated. Bridal party makes their Grand Entrance. We proceed to our first dance.
7:00-8:30 PM: Dinner. Slide show during dessert.
8:30 PM: Speeches. Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances
9:30 PM: Party like its 1999!!!
10:30 PM: Newlywed game, bouquet and garter toss. This is a wee bit rushed, due to our videographer trying to leave early.
11:00-2:00 AM: And they lived happily ever after!
What steps are you taking to ensure that everything runs on time and smoothly on the day of your wedding?
