So it’s my day off, and I finally have time to organize and share with you our engagement photos! It took some time to get these together because our computer has been a little out of sorts. A few weeks ago, Champ spilled some wine on our old laptop, and we’ve since had to purchase a new computer. Some of our photos were given to us on a disc in raw format (in CR2 format taken with a Cannon) and I had to figure out a way to easily convert them to JPEG. This may be easy for some of you, but I am completely technologically challenged, and it took me a while! (FYI: I ended up using ReaConverter Pro to convert the images).
A while back, Champ and I met Loun Loun and Grace from Girls with Big Cameras for our shoot which was supposed to take place along the monuments in DC. The girls told us that we should consider taking our photos along the Georgetown canal, and we figured we would trust their judgment. Loun Loun (or L2) posted a few teasers of our photos a few days after the session, and I was so glad we chose to take our photos along the canal instead of near the monuments. You may also recall that the Tiramisus also had an engagement session with the girls, and their photos inspired us to go with them!
After a quick change in a public restroom, we moved on to some more rural spots with some of the most adorable little cafes and gardens. We managed to ignore a few hecklers, and honestly they made it a lot easier to have a genuine laugh in our pictures!

For all you D.C./Maryland/Virginia brides—this is an amazing site to have photos taken, and we had so much fun! Now I just have to figure out what to do with all these pictures. Any ideas?

We had our engagement shoot with them too - they’re so awesome! We just made a picture book for ourselves using Snapfish and it turned out wonderful!

Fantastic epics, you two are one hot couple, with one cute pooch! Make a photobook out of them and use it as your guestbook, or table numbers like previously suggested, your pics are too special and need to be shown off!

I was thinking about having our E shoot in Georgetown (we live in NOVA) and your shots have definitley inspired me! You two are adorable.
Love the pics! We used one large framed photo in a signature mat frame as our ‘guest book.’ It hangs in our hallway and people always comment on it.
Unfortunately, that’s the only one we’ve done ANYTHING with. (with the exception of the one we sent to the paper for our announcement!).

What a great location for pictures — quite literally, my backyard. We used pictures from our engagement session as the first and last page of our program, and it was a huge hit — I think people were more likely to keep the program, since it actually had pictures in it, rather than just text.
