Shoes are my vice, music is my passion in life and technology is the medium by which I live and work. About Mrs. Pomegranate

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

October 3rd, 2008 @ 1:32 pm by Mrs. Pomegranate

I wish I could say this last week leading up until the wedding was easy, but it hasn’t been. No matter how much you plan, prepare, schedule, or organize, you just can’t control or predict the future. With a little rain on the horizon, a scramble to get the final payments together after a missing paycheck debacle, and the pure chaos (and pure love) of family - we’ve had it all. However, in the end it’s going to be okay - in fact, I still think it’s going to be pretty amazing.

Who cares if we didn’t rent tents for the outdoor ceremony and reception? A little rain never hurt anyone! Those final payments? We’ll get them paid; we just may have the scrimp a few days on our Portland Minimoon. As for the family, they always are there for you when you’re in a bind.

This is what we’re up against.

After all, no matter what, in the end, I’ll be married - and that’s what matters, right?

I have a bajillion things to show you - but as you may have noticed, I’ve been swamped. So I’m really sorry to say that this little Pomegranate may be a tad silent for the next week. At least I’ll have plenty to entertain you with once I return and we begin the wait for my pro photos. All those fun little details will be covered, along with lots of DIY. With that I bid you adieu as a Miss and will return as a Mrs. Keep those anti-rain dances coming!

no matter what happens, you’ll have an amazing day. we had rain the morning of our wedding (outdoor ceremony as well), and actually all the clouds in the sky really inhanced our pictures, and the rain didn’t damper any of the excitment and love that day!

Seriously, don’t worry about the rain! There was a 50% chance of rain on our wedding day. It did rain, but in the morning, and by the ceremony is was perfect!

Come rain or shine it will be wonderful! Congrats!

I feel you on the rain - the forcast for us next Saturday says the same thing and we didn’t rent tents either. It sucks. Just remind yourself - I am marrying the love of my life! Enjoy your day!

Hi, Everyone! I just wanted to thank you all for your No-Rain Dances and prayers…they worked! We had a little bit of rain for the rehearsal, but the wedding evening was dry and beautiful! Mr. and Mrs. Pom are honeymooning it up in Portland. Yay!
