After some thought about attempting to assemble my own pocket folds, I gave up and ordered them. With so many DIY brides these days, I knew there had to be resources that could assist in paper dimensions and layouts of pocket fold invitations. Little did I know that there are websites that literally do the entire thing for you. When I stumbled across some of these resources, I almost felt guilty- like I was cheating the DIY process.
Envelopper Inc has a wonderful feature that allows you to virtually create your invitation. You simply choose the size pocket fold you would like to use, and it literally gives you the size of all the different pieces needed. Talk about DIY for dummies!

Similarly, My gatsby has a design studio that allows you to mix and match products.

With all of these resources, I feel like I should’ve gone ahead and made our pocket folds myself. I guess I’ll just have to use the time on another DIY project.
I’m sure I’ll use some of the templates and inspiration from bees and brides before me, but my struggle is this: do you think that templates and tutorials encourage the DIY projects or are we just cheating our own creative process?
