Flora v.1

Flowers make me happy. Now, Erin is making me happy with her beautiful flowers for our wedding day. She’s been so great accommodating my crazy whims (herbs! I want herbs in the bouts and anywhere else we can fit ‘em in!), MAKING me stick to budget (No, Miss L, you can’t afford to cover the ENTIRE aisle in an opaque carpet of flower petals from Ecuador…), and even suggesting ideas and varieties that had never crossed my mind (now that you mention it, delphinium does look a bit like bluebonnets!).

Honestly, the hardest thing for me has been to keep myself from changing my mind every time I see some beautiful new bloom (thanks a million for the a-freaking-dorable anemones, Dumpling… :)) Luckily, Erin is a budget hawk and has been great at keeping me in line and reminding me of my vision.
While I want to keep some elements as surprises for our guests, I couldn’t help but share a bit of our floral goodness with the hive.

I love the textures you’ve got there! Also, I am such a fan of using herbs. I love the way they infuse scent and harken back to flavor as well as smell. Sounds like you’ve got a great floralist!
