Our Ceremony Programs!!

October 10th, 2008 @ 11:58 am by Mrs. Candy Corn

In addition to designing and making our invites, the lovely Cindi from BrassPaperClip whipped together our programs in a matter of days! She is the sweetest Etsy seller I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is in need of custom creations! Our program design was heavily borrowed from Mrs. Lily (whose hubby designed their ultra fab programs), while remaining true to our theme and aesthetic.

Pardon the blurry names, it’s more mysterious that way.

The interior has six panels of information including the ceremony, the wedding party, a thank you from Mr. Candy Corn and me, and a memory page for those who will not be with us at the wedding.

On the back cover, there is a favorite quote of ours by Dante Alighieri (”Remember tonight… for it is the beginning of always”) and a smaller dandelion graphic. Simple waxed twine keeps it all together.

The inside back cover has he says/she says stories about how we met, with each story printed on light blue parchment and tucked into a glassine pocket. The pocket has been attached to the cover with a red “wax” seal. The seal has a little bird holding a note in its beak, which ties in nicely with our bird theme. Guests will be able to peek into the pocket and read the letters (each with a different font, to make it look like our different handwriting).

Has anyone else skipped the DIY route with the programs and hired someone else to make them, or am I the only bride around here guilty of losing ambition?

I was actually going to do my own, but after seeing the wonderful job on these, I may have to contact Cindi. These are gorgeous and totally HEART the love letters at the end with the wax - very unique.

Ms. CC, would you mind sharing your page to remember those who couldn’t be there? My brother recently passed away in September, and I am having a hard time with even continuin to have my wedding. My mom insists, and I am trying to think of a way to remember him without it overpowering the day. Thanks so much!

Those tiny little pockets with the adorable wax stamps are FANTASTIC. If it makes you feel any better, I probably won’t be making my own invited either :)

The whole thing is genius. Love love love the pocket — and one could do so much with that (put in love letters, confetti, tissue . . . )

It had to be you, Miss Candy Corn! I saw those on Etsy a while ago, posted them on my blog as an item that I was in love with and was left wondering who actually had such a great idea of the entire letter ensemble! It is so very cute! It had to be from one of my favorite weddingbee couples!

Ah how I wish I had someone make my programs… due to some awful circumstance I ended up finishing our programs in my bridal suite by myself until 4am the morning of my wedding. I was determined to have programs because they were so well thought out. Rather than helping everyone I encountered told me to forget about the programs, so I finished them myself, and I still looked beautiful, and the day was surreal with or without sleep… but I would have much rather taken a bubble bath or done something more relaxing.

I totally went this route as well and found a designer on Etsy and it was the best decision! One less thing to worry about. Your programs are beautiful.
