Wedding Day Part V: Moments Away

October 14th, 2008 @ 5:29 pm by Mrs. Lovebird

Wedding Day Part I: The Girls Getting Ready
Wedding Day Part II: The Boys Getting Ready
Wedding Day Part III: The Guests Getting Ready
Wedding Day Part IV: Bridal Portraits

When we finally got the call from Gaby, our wedding coordinator, that they were ready for us, I must say, I got a little nervous. I remember walking out of my suite and thinking, I can’t believe it’s actually happening…

Man, I wish I could remember what we were laughing about here… although now I’m thinking, Tina, stop touching your boob! J/k… don’t kill me…

I don’t particularly like this shot of myself, but I thought I’d show it to the hive anyways to demonstrate how it’s okay if you don’t look good in every shot from your wedding.

Once again, excuse the doofy look on my face.

Okay… deep breath… it’s show time!

Side note: Another thought that went through my head when we were waiting for our signal to go was, “What the hell is that weird music playing when my wedding is going on?” Then I came to the sad realization that it was our processional music…

You see, the days/weeks leading up to the wedding, I entrusted our groomsman, Oliver, to find the ceremony music. It wasn’t until the night before we had to leave to Cancun that we burned the ceremony music Oliver got for us onto a CD. It was also the first time we actually listened to it and realized that the version of J.S. Bach’s “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” that Oliver sent to us for the processional song was not the instrumental version I wanted, but the cantata version, with a men’s choir singing in it, in German! It sounded a little ominous to me, but by that point, I thought, “Screw it, just use it! We’ve got packing to do!”

I guess that one came back to bite me in the ass, but hopefully no one noticed but me. Oh well, serves me right for leaving it to the last minute.

What thoughts do you think will be running through your head right before you walk down the aisle?

My thoughts will probably be “don’t pass out…don’t pass out…don’t pass out” I don’t do well being the center of attention. I get VERY nervous and when I get nervous, I can’t eat at all!!!
