About Ms Fondue

Remember that Mr. Fondue went down to Street Tuxedo to get some general ideas on what he liked, as far as tuxedos went. We discussed some of the stuff he tried on, and he went back so we could figure out vest and tie colors.

Last time, he had gone to the closest location. They told us that another location was where their warehouse was, so it was the best place to try stuff on. So that’s where Mr. Fondue headed for this trip. You can see the large variety of vests here in the background. (And note the shop’s color scheme. What a great place to try on tuxes for our wedding!)

He tried on both black and white vests with a variety of tie colors and styles. Here he is sporting a black vest with a solid black tie.

He went in thinking that he was going to like the black vest with a red tie the best, so he tried on a few of those.

I wanted him to try on white vests and ties.

I also wanted him to try some with stripes (such as the red tie pictured above).

While he was there, he also decided to carry the stripes over into the jacket with a pinstripe. (There are matching pants; he just didn’t try those on.)

After he returned, we reviewed the photos together. He loved the six-button vest, but only in black. I liked the white vest with black tie the best, but he nixed it, citing that the white had been too shiny in person. We both agreed that we didn’t like either of the red ties with the black vest.

We’ve narrowed it down to the black tux, black vest, with the black striped tie or the pinstripe tux, black vest, with a black solid tie.

Which do you think he should choose?

hands down, the last pic with the pinstripes!
sorry, but i have to agree with mr. fondue. the white is a little too shiny.
the pinstripes are nifty though because you veer from wearing all dark to having a little light dispersed.

I like the black vest & black tie, no stripes on the tie. Timeless!

I like the black vest with the black striped tie, personally - not that I don’t love pinstripes ;)

I really like the 1st outfit, and the striped tie is also nice. All of the fits look great but I agree with Taffy, -timeless!

I think the pinstripe suit photographs better but maybe it is just that he is standing infront of different things. Either way they are both classics.

I love the one with the plain red tie. It spices it up without going overboard.

I love the old-hollywood glamour of the white vest/black tie or white vest/white tie. The black/black is also crisp and classic, but you two seem funkier than that. :)

Good luck deciding!
