Nothing sets the elegant tone of a wedding more than flowers do. And boy, did we end up with some perdy flowers, if I do say so myself! I was very pleased with the final product! I figured it’d be nice to feature them in their own post to hone in on some of the lovely details and hopefully provide some inspiration to those of you with a similar color theme!
My bridesmaids had some of the brightest and cheeriest springtime bouquets ever! A mixture of pale pink and ivory roses mixed in with some pink hydrangea made up most of it, with dark pink roses and green cymbidium orchids as accents. I thought they were so pretty and went oh-so-well with their dresses!
Gorgeous! Though I think I must have had the biggest bouquet ever in the history of weddings. It was so big I could barely wrap my hands around the stems. In fact, Sister Daffodil helped me hold it through most of the ceremony because it was so heavy! But you can’t say it wasn’t absolutely just as beautiful as it was big.
I just loved the fluffy look of the peonies and lisianthus, which went so well with the pastel pink roses and the mini calla lily accents!
Our beautiful ceremony decorations. A mix of light pink hydrangea with magenta roses, they matched our bridesmaids bouquets. And guess what? They also doubled as our centerpieces! I’ll show you how they did that down below, when I get to the centerpieces.
Check out above the huge arrangements our florist made to be displayed up front (and a preview of our ceremony!). Here’s a close up…
Our sweetheart table arrangement…Some more fluffy hydrangea and roses!
And finally, a centerpiece! Half of the centerpieces doubled as our aisle decorations, which was a huge cost saving tactic! If you look closely, you will see that the flowers have been inserted into a water soaked papier mache base that keeps them hydrated while keeping the exact arrangement of flowers in place. Plus, they can be easily moved around! During the ceremony, we used half of them and sat then atop some pedestals that were covered with chiffon. Afterwards, all the florist had to do was pick them up and sit them atop the square vases that we bought!
So pretty
. If only we could have flowers to brighten up our lives every day!
