Touches of Ivory

October 15th, 2008 @ 3:42 pm by Mrs. Spring Roll

I thought I was dead set on our color palette of pink and orange. However, while trying on my gown, I fell in love with the color ivory. Subsequently, I wanted to incorporate it into our color palette. At first, I wasn’t sure on how to add ivory, but I was inundated with ideas as soon as I laid my eyes on these:

I ordered 12 of the signs for the buffet and beverage tables. In addition to the buffet signs, I plan to add touches of ivory throughout the reception hall.

I fell in love with the idea of having vintage ivory picture frames displaying photos of Mr. Spring Roll and I, as well as our families on their wedding days. I went to the dollar store and purchased five frames, then painted them using stone enamel spray paint from Michaels.

Did you change your color palette because of a newfound color love?

My color palatte is pink and brown, but I added green after falling in love with the kermit mums that will be added to the light pink Gerbera daisies and cream roses in the bouquets.

I also love your picture frames! I may have to go and get some myself;)

My colors were pink and orange as well! I had been struggling to find the perfect table linens, but everything in pink and orange was way too loud. I tried going with champagne, but that led to gold accessories…and I am not a gold lovin girl. Then, I came across the most perfect ivory linens, put the boys in ivory vests and BAM everything just fell into place. Check out some pics!

@Tosha: I purchased them from Michael’s. However, they could easily be made using wire and faux pearls :) I believe Martha has instructions on her website.
