About Mrs. Blush

Three Themes = Three Colors

October 16th, 2008 @ 5:55 pm by Mrs. Blush

I knew I wanted soft subdued colors, but I wanted to do something different.  It was difficult since that type of color scheme is so popular.  However, with the help of my favorite fashionista - my mother - we came upon three wonderful hues that fit our 1) Georgia 2) winter 3) romantic wedding!!

The only way to really express the essence of our colors is by looking at our wedding invitations. Here is a glimpse:

Please excuse the color of the bow- it’s completely ivory despite the coffee stained look it portrays

 1) Light Peach 2) Ash Grey 3) Ivory Cream

How has your season and/or state inspired your colors?

We’re doing the same. Plus some pink. Plus some orange. Plus a little goldish.

Grey is my fav color, and orange is FI’s. He went to UGA and I lived in Atlanta for a bit (hence the peach). The reception site has a lot of ornate frescoes (hence the gold). Pink is there to warm it all up.

I’m excited to read how your planning shapes up, with this color scheme.

I love the gray! Like @JLS, it’s my favorite color.

It looks fabulous with the pastel color.

Holy crap! We have very similar thought patterns! Our colors are 1. lavender,2. dove grey and 3. ivory based on 1. hailing from Louisiana (Geaux Tigers!) although the wedding is 2. in the Colorado Rockies and 3. (hopefully) very classy & elegant!

I think grey is so elegant. It’s going to be the pervading colour in our wedding but with rainbow touches (flowers mostly - in lots of bright hues) to liven it up a little. It’s inspired by the colour of eucalyptus trees on the mountain where we’re getting married. The bright flowers are a nod to Spring.

Oh I love this color sceme! Peach is SO underappreciated. Why don’t more people use it? It’s so feminine and I think it’s perfect for a wedding.
