About Mrs. Blush

As mentioned in my previous post, shoes are a big deal for me.  Although I haven’t fully admitted it yet, it’s probably because I like my feet and my feet don’t gain weight as much as say… my waist!  Well, I was shopping at Phipps Plaza with my mom a few months back and we entered Jeffrey.

It was the end of the season so there were lots of sales, but I knew most of the good stuff was already gone. Of course I bee-lined it to the shoes, because you know… feet don’t gain weight (I’m a 6 sometimes a 5.5).

And there in all its lonesome glory, hanging loosely on the shoe stand, the perfect pair of shoes… in my size!! And in our wedding color-PEACH!!

I was already sitting down, shoes off, ready. But oh no - they were too big! The saleslady excused herself, and I thought ”I don’t care if they’re too big; I’m going to stuff stockings in there if I have to!” She came back with foot insoles and they fit so much better! Exhale.

And the best part, ok no the shoe itself was the best part, the second best part was the price. Designer shoes for almost 70% off - I was thrillled! I came home that night and wore them all around the house and took lots of pictures of them. Here are a few:

Did you have any heart palpatating shoe experiences?

Wow, they are sparkly! :) I’m so glad you foiund them, and what a sale!

I was thinking about your color palette this weekend- have you found bridesmaid dresses yet? I was in Anthropologie this weekend and found the cutest dress for my shower or rehearsal dinner, and then realized what a cute bridesmaid dress it would make too! I was going to blog about it, but the dress isn’t listed on the website right now and I didn’t have my camera at the store. You should check it out, and if I see it pop up on the website I will send the link your way. :) It reminded me so much of the post about your colors with the invitations!

NWR, but I found a pair of CL’s at 40% off, IN MY SIZE, at the store in the West Village in July. Of COURSE I had to get them, despite the fact that they were still more than $600…

Oh my goodness, those are so cool. I LOVE the sparkly thingies on the heel - what an amazing detail, and the color is lovely. That’s such good luck that you found the perfect shoes in a size that fits, and 70% off! Awesome! :)

Soooo deliciously deliightful! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the sexy heel! I’m so jealous cuz 1) you have such teeny tiny feet, and 2) that’s a major bargain shopping!
I was lucky though myself and snagged my jewel encrusted Manolos of about 70% off as well!

FYI tip to SoCal brides - Saw some LOVELY designer shoos perfect for weddings at the MetroPointe Nordstrom Rack designer section. Run if you can.

Miss Blush I love those! Would you consider selling them after the wedding? I wear the same size as you! Let me know, but trust me I completely understand if you want to keep them. We are lucky to have such small feet I always fins the good stuff on sale!

Yup, I wanted something pretty specific and the Alice shoe ticked all the boxes and I even conquered my fear of ordering them over the internet (ordering from the designer’s store directly them being $200 off might’ve helped me overcome my fear).

You got yourself some fabulous shoes there. Well done.

The sparkly thingies are great, and make me think of a post by someone else (can’t remember!) that was going to DIY the thingies. Something to consider.
