Mrs. Pomegranate, Sacramento Age and Occupation: 27, Technical Specialist Fiance's Age and Occupation: 27, Software Engineer Engagement Date: August 23, 2007 Wedding Date: October, 2008 Blogging Since: June 5, 2008 Venue: R.H. Phillips Winery About Me: Hi, I'm Miss Pomegranate and I'm a shopaholic. I have a weak spot for the chic cheap - especially anything I can re-create on the DIY. Shoes are my vice, music is my passion in life and technology is the medium by which I live and work. When I'm not scoping out a sale, I'm spending my quality time training for a marathon, playing Wii with my fiance and snuggling with my Silver Labrador and Teacup Panther - and oh yeah, planning my wedding!
About Mrs. Pomegranate

I’ve been a bit absent since the wedding for two main reasons:

z169514
The Minimoon in Portland, Oregon

z16951401
The Nike Women’s Marathon in San Francisco, California

Once we had returned from our honeymoon all relaxed and happy, we came home to a little taste of the chaos that was our wedding. I then realized that I had only one more week to get myself ready to run 13.1 miles in hilly San Francisco. So between work, cleaning/setting up the house, and training for my half-marathon, I have been swamped.

I promise lots of posts coming up soon - from forgotten DIYs to more little details, from Portland, OR to San Francisco, CA - until we receive our pro-photos, where re-cap will begin!

Well hello beautiful! I miss your “voice”! I can’t wait to hear about your Minimoon… Mr. Peng and I are trying to go to all of the Pac 10 football stadiums in the near future (I think we have Wash, Wash St, Oregon, OSU, and Arizona to go) so we’ll have to consider taking a nice little trip to Oregon soon and cant wait to hear of your tips!

I envy your get-up and go to do a Marathon.

I’ve wanted to train for a Triathlon for soooo long, but I never find the time.

I think you marathon/mini marathon people are crazy. hehe.

No, but seriously, I really do admire you runners. I absolutely hate running, and refuse to do it unless someone is chasing me (or because I have to…being military and all). Running a any size marathon takes dedication…very admireable. Congrats!

@Kari & J-VO: Yay for you Ladies! It was a fun race, no?

@Miss Sushi: OMG - so this reminded me of a sign someone was holding in one of the Cheer Stations, it said something like, “Running is mostly mental, and you’re CRAZY!” I loved that.

I might add that I was NOT a runner AT ALL one year ago. I HATED it in the beginning, but I was determined to reach a crazy goal like that. So I just did it. I encourage those of you who have doubts that you could do something like that, to just give yourself time to train - and you can!
