Don’t Forget to Vote!

October 23rd, 2008 @ 2:24 pm by Mrs. Coconut

*Don’t worry, this is a totally neutral post.*

As Mr. Coconut and I are getting married on November 1st and we’ll be in Costa Rica on the following Tuesday, we’re voting via absentee ballot! I made sure to request ours way ahead of time, and today we mailed them in! So, for those brides getting married around the same time, please don’t forget to vote! Some of our guests are staying the week to take a cruise, so remind your guests to vote, too!

It’s so important to vote. I mean, if Leonardo DiCaprio says so, then it must be true, right?!? Actually that video is quite hilarious, and even though the voter registration deadline has since passed, the message is still important. VOTE PEOPLE!

I just sent my absentee ballot in and it is such a relief! Now I can turn off the TV and not think about the election until the 4th.

Love that video! Jonah Hill is hilarious - “I’ve never done sh*t on drugs, except play Halo 2″!

There are too many important issues right now to not feel that this election will affect everyone in some way or another - finally voting for government supported same sex marriage, stem cell research, environmental issues, protection of a woman’s right to choose, health care, the economy, foreign policy, and on and on and on…

Although I don’t live in the USA I’ve been watching all of the election stuff very closely because your choice of President affects us up here in a huge way as well so I hope that everyone will go vote!
