Mrs. Tiramisu's Picture
Mrs. Tiramisu, Annapolis, MD/Maine Age and Occupation: 26, Eye Doctor Fiance's Age and Occupation: 26, Project Manager/Real Estate Management grad student Engagement Date: May 15, 2007 Wedding Date: July, 2008 Blogging Since: March 4, 2008 Venue: Oceanfront lawn and tent About Me: I was born and raised in Maine, now living in Annapolis, Maryland and planning a hometown wedding from afar. I’m nothing short of obsessed with wedding planning, and am loving the do-it-yourself madness that has now taken over my life! As for me, I’m a craft-loving, martini-drinking, girly-girl who loves traveling, photography, my schnauzer, and above all, spending time with Mr. Tiramisu.
About Mrs. Tiramisu

Back to the recap after a little hiatus! All images by the amazing Sam of Samantha Warren Weddings.

As was the unintended theme of our wedding, yet another unplanned event was added to the list of my favorite moments of the day. I really don’t remember how it happened, but one minute I was standing on the lawn talking to my dad, and the next minute my family was serenading us with “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling”. Not exactly the song we had imagined, but there you have it, another electricity-free but memory-filled moment!

I can’t wait to see the video.

While everyone was out on the lawn, we took the opportunity to take a couple of group photos. First up, everyone who attended college at the University of Richmond with Mr. Tiramisu and I:

And would you believe that this photo is of everyone who attended high school with Mr. Tiramisu!?

I decided to jump in too.

I went to a tiny high school, so the six girls that attended our wedding (one not pictured here) and I actually represent 20% of my graduating class!

Next up is the requisite bride-being-held-up photo, which could be titled in this case, “Miss Tiramisu’s lovely white wedding dress” or alternatively, “Miss Tiramisu had too much fun at her wedding to care about a broken bustle and a little mud”.

Check it out:

With the power still out, we called on a couple of family members to provide some entertainment. Luckily we’re blessed with a pretty talented group. My cousin sang “At Last”, which has become a tradition at family weddings, and Mr. Tiramisu’s brother agreed to play a few songs as well. He attends Berklee College of Music and is an extremely awesome musician.

I’m guessing you sang!

You get major kudos girl - I’m still in awe with the grace you had when things didn’t go exactly as planned. =)

Your photos all have so much emotion. I think our high school graduation classes must have been close to the same size. How fun that so many of them were able to attend!

Mrs. Tiramisu, I’ve been following your wedding for a while and it looks like it was an amazing event. Its been so fun to journey with you throughout the year as I am about to start my journey of a wedding in Maine as well! I live in Mass, and my entire family is all along the coast of Maine. We’ve been looking at all kinds of venues, and my fiance is stuck on renting a home w/ocean views. I was wondering if you could share your contact info for the house you rented. It may be well out of our budget, but it doesn’t hurt to try. You can email me directly at kelly@eastman.net - I am definitely going to contact your photographer as I love your pictures and I take it you had a great experience! Any other tips you have would be great. Thanks and Congrats!!!!
