That’s right—Sunday was the much-anticipated Trash the Dress Bash, hosted by the loverly Chris Austin, out at the March Air Force Base Museum in Riverside.
We. Had. So. Much. Fun. Enough to justify end stops in the middle of a sentence, and recapitalized words, indeed. The planes were mighty, the desert dusty, and gals—let me just say that the warm nose of a plane between a bride’s legs is juuuuust right. (Ew, that sounds so much grosser than it is. Trust.)
We met some really fun photographers, make-up artists and fellow brides. All in all, it was just a blast. I can’t wait to see the pictures, yo. My dress got so filthy, but nothing a good dry cleaning can’t undo. And yep, I did a backbend in the dress. Under a plane. It was awesome.

On the way home, exhausted, famished, and still dressed up, we stopped for a bite at Big Boy. Everyone there assumed we’d just been married, and we didn’t have the heart to disappoint them with the truth. But, sitting in a dusty dress, sharing a veggie burger and a congratulatory brownie sundae with the man I love to the depths of my being as we pretended to be Mr. and Mrs. was my favorite moment of all. It spoke of many many happinesses to come… sometimes in the most ordinary of places.

Mr. Meatball…

I…

… love YOU!
And now… the first teaser!
