Love Made Simple: The Men Suit Up!

November 3rd, 2008 @ 5:56 pm by Mrs. Cookie

When last we left, my bridesmaids and I were trekking into the forest for bridal pics. Meanwhile back in the groom’s suite Mr. Cookie was getting himself ready for the big day.

According to reliable sources (i.e. Mr. Cookie’s Best Man), he seemed as cool as a cucumber. I had often asked him before the wedding if he was getting nervous, and so like Barney on “How I Met Your Mother” he played it Mr. Cool! On the inside, I knew he was as charged with emotion about our wedding as I was. This will be evident when you see the ceremony pics of Mr. Cookie.

At Ten Mile Station the Bride and Groom Suites are inches away from one another. A peek around the corner at the wrong time, by either party, could have blown the whole element of first-glance-down-the-aisle surprise! We had one incident that would have spelled disaster, but luckily, we had a very crafty bridal party who quickly covered Mr. Cookie’s eyes and rushed me back to the Bridal Suite. It was a close call, but the crisis was averted.

Following our almost close encounter, it was Mr. Cookie’s turn to suit up. Ladies, raise your hands if you are a sucker for a man in a suit like I am!

Mark, the other half of the amazing photography duo IN Photography, took the menfolk onto the Breckenridge ski hill for pictures.

I promised you shenanigans. Who am I to disappoint? When I first saw this photo, I laughed so hard tears streamed down my face. I asked Mr. Cookie who the mastermind was behind the idea for this pose. Mr. Cookie cried innocent, but I have suspicions. ;)

This is my favorite picture of Mr. Cookie. Not only does it capture the vibrant color of the Aspens, but the candor of Mr. Cookie’s mischievous smile. Mr. Cookie is a joker and this picture captures the essence of the scoundrel that I love and admire.

I know I am a little biased, but I must say Mr. Cookie looked quite handsome! Like I said, I am a sucker for a man all suited up!

And with both Mr. Cookie and I dressed in our wedding attire, time was drawing nearer to the I Dos.

hah! I love the one with them pulling up their pant legs. My husband did that with his kilt.. pulled it up a little to show a little more leg. It’s one of my favourite pictures of him because he’s just a goofball like that!

First love the shenanigans shot that is just great. I agree a man in a suit, a good friend and I came up with the theory that any man can look great in a suit (I just classes him up) but not every girl looks great in a dress. They have it so easy, but the guys all look great.

Mr. Cookie and his entourage look very sharp in their suits! I, too, am a sucker for a well-dressed man in a suit.
