DIY Alternative Pomander

November 6th, 2008 @ 5:54 pm by Mrs. Green Tea

I’m digging these Japanese Kusudama balls, and they’d make fabulous pomander alternatives! Easily incorporate your theme/colors into this project. **picturing them made of alternating solid and damask print paper** Or better yet, make them out of recycled pamphlets, brochures, books, or maps!

I’m making a tissue blossom pomander out of Martha Stewart pompom flowers! It looks great so far, its easy to make and it is great for outdoor, but not “garden” style weddings!

These are awesome! You could even recycle programs and such from your wedding to make christmas ornaments or just decoration to put in glass containers.

Thanks for the idea. I think i am going to do this with christmas papers and decorate my house with them for the holidays. They would make really cute kissing balls.

What a fun and modern alternative! Seeing as how I can not even fold a frog, they’re probably not an option for me, but I love them;)
