Before We Finish Recapping…

November 7th, 2008 @ 10:45 am by Mrs. Hydrangea

I just have to make a confession. As on top of things as I was for the wedding, I completely slacked when it came to the thank yous. Yesterday we finally finished my side of the family, and up next is Mr. H’s side. We haven’t hit the two month mark since the wedding, but it is creeping up on us at a fast rate.

To make myself feel a little better about waiting so long to write them, I took the awesome photos that we received on disk from Perez Photography and made a little collage to print onto a postcard. I opted to use Vista Print because we used them quite a few times and were always happy with the quality. We chose the extra large postcards, knowing we wouldn’t save on postage, just so that everyone could enjoy the pics as much as we have! So, without further ado…

The front side … we chose to do all color except for two of our favorite black and white photos (which are also my fav pics from the wedding… period). There’s also a little teaser of the photos to come in my last few posts!

The back side. Yes, we made sure to get our monogram in there one more time. I also added the lines for the addresses because I’m super anal and didn’t want to write them in slanted.

Am I the only procrastinator around the hive? How long did it take you all to complete your thank you notes?

I really like your thank you card idea! I may just have to steal this for my own :)

Uh, let’s just say I got married two months before you and am still not quite done. Ugh. We did photo cards too though, so I’m using that as my excuse! Love yours :)

I am doing the picture thank you as well, and I’m excited to get the feedback from my guests because I think they will really like it. Wishing I would have found a way to use my quote again though, like you used your monogram :)

I got married on Sept 20th and I haven’t even started! But, it’s because our photographer is making our thank you cards for free as part of our package…so we’re waiting on them.

I am also planning to do a photo postcard as our thank you card, but am only going to use 1 pic with a photo of us holding a thank you banner I made. However, I love your collage! Great photos and tie in of the monogram on the back!

I am in the same boat with timing but I JUST got my digital files from our photographer a week ago. They also sent us mini businesscards with our pictures and a link to our online wedding photos, so had to wait because of them. We got married on Aug. 30th and I’m now finalizing our photocard this week. Not sure if we’ll do a postcard or not, but I love how you did yours! Does VistaPrint make you order 250 of them?

We got married in early Sept and I sent most out last week- I left a few for the hubbs to write out (people from his side that I have never met and don’t know and have never met)- we’ll see how long those sit on the coffee table) I even wrote the address on the envelope so all he has to do is write the thank you.

Wow! That’s a great idea and your postcard looks amazing! What program did you use to make the collage and how big is it?
