Almost Burnt Spring Roll

November 7th, 2008 @ 1:55 pm by Mrs. Spring Roll

Since becoming engaged, I have been nonstop planning, DIYing, purchasing, and researching for our wedding. Not one day has gone by that I didn’t do something for our wedding. After waking up yesterday, I took a look at the pile of wedding things that need to be done, and walked away. That’s right, I walked away. I feel guilty about walking away, but I was beginning to feel burnt out.

I did not do one wedding-related thing yesterday. The weather was absolutely beautiful, a breezy 74 degrees. I took the girls outside to run around and play. They had so much fun running around and rolling in the cool grass.

Later, Mr. Spring Roll and I ate dinner at Tijuana Flats and visited Sister Spring Roll.

It is amazing how refreshed I feel after one wedding-less day. Today I woke up, took a look at the pile, and began assembling favors.

What do you do when wedding planning overwhelms you?

Tijuana Flats is catering my rehearsal dinner! I think I may be more excited about it than the reception food. ;-)

NO JOKE- After Chili’s, Tijuana Flats is my favorite restaurant. Chick-Fil-A comes in third. Cheap date, huh!? Don’t you love the “Slap my Sweet A** and call me Sally” sauce?

I have never eaten at Tijuana Flats, but from the looks of it, sounds good. One day. lol

I go to the gym when I’m overwhelmed, or call up a friend and meet up to chat girl talk and have a glass of wine. No wedding talk is usually allowed.
: )

Good for you! Non-wedding days are necessary for mental health reasons. You have lots of time so enjoy!
