When we decided where we wanted to have our engagement photos taken, we knew we wanted somewhere fun. We love amusement parks, but there aren’t really any that close to here now that Opryland has turned into a shopping mall, so we decided to schedule our session during the state fair. However, I always loved the textures of urban shots, so one afternoon in September, we met our photographer, Kate Crafton, in downtown Nashville for the start of our engagement session. Whitney Lowe, whose work you saw in my hair and make-up trial, did my hair and makeup for this as well. Forgive the number of pictures; there were so many great ones, I couldn’t really narrow it down!
Then we moved it outside. In the background you can see the Tennessee Tower, a state building that I am all too familiar with due to my job.
There was an elevator near where we were, so we took some pictures in the cool room it was housed in.
After that, we went to roam the streets and looked for some more cool locations.
Kate also took some individual shots of us.
How hot does Mr. Fondue look in these? He had just gotten a haircut the day before and was a little upset that they had cut it so short, but I think he looks yummy.
I love these two shots.
You can’t see him, but there was a homeless guy about ten feet away from us. He had just asked Mr. Fondue for a cigarette.
The sun started to go down at this point, so we decided to head over to the state fair. To be continued…
