The past couple days, I’ve had a certain song stuck in my head. Ladies and gents, I do believe you know what I’m talking about.
We’re leaving together (today! For Punta Cana!! For our wedding!!!)
But still it’s farewell (to all of yous, for a whole two weeks! I miss you already, you’ve been so amazing)
And maybe we’ll come back
To earth, who can tell? (OK, well I can, and yes we’ll be back though when we do, I’ll be a Mrs)
I guess there is no one to blame (for all the time I wasted worrying and, subsequently, all the DIY projects left undone)
We’re leaving ground (… er, in an airplane, yes… I think they got that part)
Will things ever be the same again? (... No, they’ll be better! And I CANNOT WAIT!)
It’s the final couuntdooown!
(lyrics in italics from ‘The Final Countdown’ by Europe)
As you read this, Mr Breezy and I are on a 7.5-hour flight down to the Dominican Republic where we’ll bask in the sun here:

…the Majestic Colonial Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic!
We’ll be surrounded by 65 of our dear friends and family and will get to spend a few amazing days just laughing, joking and hanging out together in the sun.
And then on Monday, we’ll be here:

… saying our vows to each other in front of all the people we care about so much (and thinking of those that couldn’t make it).
Being a part of the hive here at Weddingbee has been an incredible experience, so I’d just like to say thank you to each one of you reading this post. You’ve offered such wonderful suggestions and given such amazing support and it’s made my journey even more blissful than I ever could have imagined.
I’ve loved sharing tidbits from our wedding planning, and just so you know, I didn’t have NEARLY enough time to post everything that’s been humming in the back of my mind during the past couple of months. So stay tuned for lots of post-wedding thoughts. I joined Weddingbee a few months after I went through much turmoil and pain during the first stages of planning our destination wedding, i.e. picking travel agents/destinations/resorts/venues, and I just couldn’t bear to relive those awful moments again so I didn’t write about it much. However, I still get emails from other DW brides in the same boat and feel I still have a lot to share when it comes to that part of this whole she-bang, so if you’re planning a DW and have any questions at all, let me know or just sit tight—there’s more to come.
As for the most important part of this whole experience…
Mr Breezy, if you’re reading this, I can’t tell you enough how incredibly thrilled and honored I am to become your wife. Thank you for putting up with my short temper and spazziness over the last couple of months (OK fine, over the past 5 years). This celebration that we’re about to embark on is the embodiment of what I have admired about you from the very beginning and what I aspire our future life to be so full of–a love for, and loyalty to, family and friends that is strong and fierce and enduring. On November 17th, we will officially begin our own little family, just the two of us (and hopefully more soon), and there is nothing in the world that could make me feel more happy and blessed than I feel now. Thank you, for everything.
Bye hive. This is Miss Sea Breeze signing off to go sink her toes in the sand and enjoy some real sea breezes before becoming a Mrs!
xoxo
