Part III: Boys Getting Ready

November 13th, 2008 @ 5:42 pm by Mrs. Pinot Noir

While the ladies and I were getting ready in my room, Mr. PN was out for a run. Actually, his second run of the day. See, he was up at 4am too. Between the time change and nerves he couldn’t sleep either so he went for a run at 5am. I could have used a quick workout at 4am too but I was too afraid to leave my room and accidentally run into him! As a plan to start the day on the right foot he organized a “Groom’s Fun Run” and invited anyone to meet him in the lobby at 6am for a “quick” 3 mile run. He even met my hair and makeup stylists in the lobby and escorted them to my room (but no peeking!). Did you or your partner partake in any pre-wedding exercise?

After the run it was time to get ready. He delivered the kilts, which arrived just in the nick of time, to his brothers.

Isn’t he handsome?!

Off to the wedding…

Yes, my maid of honor and I ran 3 miles on the wedding morning, between 8 and 8:30 AM. It was soooo worth it. :3

We are planning on doing wedding yoga that morning. Our site is a yoga retreat during much of the year, so it seemed like a good thing to do, and we had built in yoga instruction.

I like the kilts. Mr. Doctor had thrown around the idea of wearing one, but I think he’s on to different things now.

HA! I personally wouldn’t call 3 miles a “quick run”! But I hope to have some time in the morning to help me relax my nerves too… my pace is more along the lines of a quick yoga practice.

@Wolff2Be:

I wasn’t that bad… we hammered out the 3 miles in about 24 minutes, which we were happy with given all those darn hills in SF.

I found both of my 3 mile runs that morning very relaxing and they were helpful in working out some of the kinks from the half marathon a few days earlier.

The boys played in a local golf tourney the morning of the wedding if you call that exercise!

Love the pics with the boys in their kilts with the sunglasses :)
