I made about 100 lace bows (We invited 300+ guests). I have to admit—our invites turned out a bit like… sextuplets (shout-out to to John & Kate Plus 8!). They were all a little different but special and adorable in their own way. Some have little bows, others have big bows, thin ribbon, thick ribbon… very random indeed, but we wouldn’t have done it any other way.

Here are the adorable paper clips I posted about earlier. Special Thanks Mrs. Tiramisu!

I accidentally purchased 40 of these nitrile gloves for one of my labs (when I needed just one.) So I have 39 gloves just sitting in a box waiting to be used… for nothing… or so I thought! I asked Mr. Blush to apply the return labels on the outer envelopes. The clear label was prone to fingerprints and you could see the fingerprints on the envelopes. I looked over and saw Mr. Blush’s hands in these gloves! It was so funny and adorable at the same time! (It was definitely an “I love you so much” moment.)

Our assembly process lasted a good three days. We didn’t send them until two days after they were done because we wanted to hold onto them just a bit longer. Finally, I walked over the post office with two “Big Brown Bags” filled to the brim and let them go. A sigh of relief later, I walked home to an invite free home. It was great.

Anyone else create “DIY sextuplet invitations”? How were you able to roll with the punches in your DIY projects and feel okay about things not looking exactly the same?

Love the bows– and I think it’s cute they’re slightly different! Nobody will be comparing invites side by side anyways. :-) congrats on being done!

These look so great! Did you print them yourself?

I noticed your paper looks a bit iridescent. We purchased a bunch of iridescent paper but the ink smears! :(

I was in a mega store one time and saw the greeting card lady restocking the shelves, and no joke, the woman was wearing white cotton gloves to handle the cards. I giggled a little thinking of how careful and clean she was being when in ten minutes a three year old would probably come by and touch evey card in reach and maybe even lick a few. Then again, it just occured to me that maybe she was just avoiding paper cuts.
Hmmm?

Very Cute! I too had my own version of sextuplet invites. We did pocket folds and since I couldnt decide on a shade or red or brown for them I just ordered 25 of each so we had 4 different colored pocket folds. And of course since we had 4 different colored pocket folds we had to have diffferent colors of ribbon that would work well with each one for the belly bands on the. Since we had several kinds of ribbon (depending what was on sale) we ended up with quite a few different versions. But ultimatly they all looked great and like you said it wasnt like people were comparing them to each other :). My bridesmaids and girlfriend who came over to help make them giggled a bit about all the different versions and if not for them I might have lost my sanity making them but they were beautiful when done!

So in the end we had:
Cherry red pocketfolds (pf) with beige ribbon
Cherry red pfs with shimmery red ribbon
Lighter red pfs with beige
Lighter red pfs with brown ribbon
Dark Brown pfs with beige
Dark Brown pfs with golden ribbon
Dark Brown pfs w/ shimmery red ribbon
Lighter Brown pfs w/ beige
Ligher Brown pfs w/ burgendyish ribbon

Hmmm thats more than six…. whats the word for 9-tuplets :) A litter? :)
