With our wedding fast approaching, Mr. Spring Roll and I decided to take a mini vacation to get away one last time before we are wed. Living in Florida is fantastic, as we are only an hour or so away from Orlando. We travel to Orlando several times a year for mini vacations, and did so this past week. Whenever we visit Orlando, we stay at a wonderful resort, Westgate Lakes. The price is right and the rooms are fantastic.

Mr. Spring Roll and I have been to Disney and Universal too many times to count, so we decided to mix it up. We opted to go to Pirate’s Dinner Adventure and Disney Quest. Pirate’s Dinner Adventure was neat; guests sit around a big pirate ship and watch a live show while feasting on a big meal.

Disney Quest definitely brought out the kids in us. For those unfamiliar with Disney Quest, it is a five story interactive theme park. Mr. Spring Roll and I had a lot of fun playing old arcade games, building our own roller coaster (and riding it), and playing Astroblasters (enclosed bumper cars where you shoot “cannonballs” at other cars).

That is so freaking cool! I love anything disney :). Your skin looks amazing Miss Spring Roll! this may be a weird question but how do you stay so white in Florida?

That looks like so much fun! I was working at Disney about 7 years ago when they first built Disney Quest and cast members got to go try out all the cool attractions - I remember it being REALLY fun.

I had to pause and read this because I saw the Westgate lakes sign. I live in Orlando and pass that every day when I work! Not only that, but my roommate is a performer in the Pirates show you saw.

You guys are so cute! My fiance and I live in Orlando, but in downtown, not near the parks. On the weekends, we will go down to Downtown Disney/Universal City Walk/the theme parks and refer to it as our mini-vacations. It’s very important for mental heath!

Hee hee…when i worked at Disney, my roomie and I had a goal to visit every ‘b’ rated attraction in Orlando. We only got as far as some of the haunted mansions and Fun World where I was the victim of extreme vertigo from one of their un-manned rides.

I LOVEEEE Westgate! It’s the perfect hotel for a wonderful price! DH & I took a weekend out to relax. We were so stressed with all the showers/parties/planning, that we just took a weekend to do NOTHING and relax before the wedding.
