Stealing Time! Daffodil Day Pt. VII

November 17th, 2008 @ 12:40 pm by Mrs. Daffodil

Pt. I: Make Me Pretty!
Pt. II: Time to Get Bridal
Pt. III: On the Other Side
Pt. IV: I See You!
Pt. V: The Final Countdown
Pt. VI: I Do!

It’s cliche, but true: your wedding day goes by in a blur. Which is why it is so important to steal away moments with your loved ones as much as you possibly can!

We couldn’t believe that the ceremony was over… we were really married! After so many years. Here, we steal away a moment outside for a kiss before our wedding party and guests file out.

Stealing a moment for a Daffodil sandwich with my sisters!

We had no idea this photo was being taken, even though we are practically looking directly at the camera! It is for priceless shots like these that you cannot thank your photographer enough for!

In our getaway car! Our reception venue was a 20 minute drive, so it gave us an opportunity to spend some quality time (with BIL Daffodil as our chaffeur) and soak it all in!

While our guests enjoyed the cocktail hour, we stole away some time with just our parents, siblings, and best friends for a “secret” photo session! This gave us an opportunity to get to spend some private time with those closest to us, before all the evening festivities would begin. Plus, our reception venue was downtown, which offered a completely different backdrop and feel than our church overlooking the valley - We just had to take advantage of such a cool location!

A happy family shot!

Running in downtown LA!

The below pic, taken by one of our groomsmen, captured the moment where the wind caught my veil! Just had to share this image!

Yeah, you know, we always walk in a straight line of nine girls like this smiley3.

z172836

That’s right, boys.

A few more moments of just laughing and hanging out…

As captured by one of the groomsmen on film, the girls are curious to see the new ring!

As are the guys too, evidently… winky

…before it’s time to head down for cocktails and to prep for the grand entrance!

I love the Daffodil sandwich. I agree about working in time with the “favorites” throughout the day!

Sigh… I love all your recap photos! What a beautiful wedding!

Whoever that groomsman is with the camera, he got some great shots. Is he thinking about going into the business? :-)

@RenaissanceTrophyWife: I’ll have to pass on the compliment to him! :-)

@DrDazey: The bm dresses are from Ann Taylor…I think they continued this specific design, but have a new one that is pretty similar!
