After the parent dances, per Chinese custom, Mr. Toucan and I walked around the room with our immediate families to toast all of our guests.
In some cases, the “cheers-ing” was quite difficult…
R-e–a—c—-h!
In many cases, it also got quite chaotic too! (Many props to Robert and his crew for running around table to table to capture these shots!)
Going around toasting the tables was also a great idea because it allowed us to actually see, talk to, and thank all of our guests for coming.

In addition to being able to see all of our guests, going around table to table as a group allowed my family and Mr. Toucan’s family to be introduced to each other by the other family. MIL Toucan loved the idea of toasting the tables so much, that she’s recommended it to friends and family who are also getting married soon!
