About Mrs. Caramel

Our Bucket List

November 18th, 2008 @ 8:30 am by Mrs. Caramel

When Mr. Caramel and I were dating, we talked about all the things we really wanted to do together as a married couple.  Instead of just saying “yes, I want to do that!”, I wanted to be the type of people who actually DO what they say they’re going to do!

Here are some of the things on the Caramel Bucket List:

1. Travel! Being born and raised in So Cali can be pretty boring, but my backpacking trip to Europe in college opened my eyes to all the wonderful history and amazing parts of the rest of the world. Mr. Caramel and I were able to conquer a bit of this on our honeymoon in Venice/Rome and on our cruise to Alaska.

The most romantic city on earth ;-)

This had always been a dream of mine!! I want to adopt an Alaskan husky so bad!

I cannot wait to visit Paris, London (at the Olympics, woot!) New Zealand, and more exotic places with Mr. Caramel!

2. Take advantage of our youth. There is one great advantage in marrying early—you have all this time to play before you step into motherhood! One of our biggest dreams was to move to Manhattan since it’s one of the best cities in the world, and it came true last month when Mr. Caramel landed his dream job!

3. Having kids. One interesting thing that Mr. Caramel and I completely agreed on was our desire to adopt. Although I know it’s a very long process, we have always felt very strongly about wanting to adopt. I would love to have 4 kids - 2 adopted and 2 of our own. (That way, we can have 2 boys and 2 girls!)

What are some things on your bucket list?

How great that you and Mr. C have a bucket list together! I should do that with my guy :) And I am so with with on #4. We decided early in our relationship to adopt because after seeing how many children are in need of homes, how can we not? And so far we think having four children would be the perfect :D

I would love to adopt also. I’m working on Mr. Sushi with this idea. :)
::sigh:: traveling. I love to Travel, spent over half my life doing it (literally. My family moved every 3-4 years to a different country). Mr. Sushi hasn’t been to many places other than PA, that was before I came around. hehe.
I hope to go back and visit Japan and London again someday. Soon, hopefully.

My little sister was adopted, and so our family had two boys and two girls :-).

Adoption can be really hard… I’m sure you know what you’re getting into though. Good luck!!!!

@jackie:
I’m curious and hopefully this doesn’t make me look silly, but what does “TTC” mean??
