I'm from Chicago, he's from NYC, and we both miss public transit and great pizza. We have an adorable muppet dog called Paco. About Mrs. Meatball

Light at the End of the Tunnel

November 19th, 2008 @ 4:08 pm by Mrs. Meatball

I feel like I’ve had a bit of Debbie Downer-itis lately…. constantly bemoaning our nonexistent employment status and frustration. But a new dawn is on the horizon, folks!

That’s right, I am a working girl again! I got a last-minute replacement gig temping at a local nonprofit as an executive assistant. The best part is that it’s open-ended with potential to become permanent, so I get to try it on for size and see how it fits! It’s only 10 minutes from my house, which is amazing by LA standards. So far it’s going great!

I can’t say what a relief it is to have reliable income again, and to not spend my day sending resumes into the ether, hoping for a call.

Those of you who are still struggling for stability—know that it may take time, but it will come!

Thanks for your support through this “down” time. Now I can redirect my focus back to wedding planning and blogging—so get ready for loads of goodness!
