Hello Hive!!
Please excuse my lack of posting… with exams, applications, apartment searching, and less than TWO months before our wedding… it’s been a whirlwind here in the Blushpack. With that being said, I can not believe we have less than two months!
But for now, on to the MEN.
Today’s Topic: THE BOWTIE
I love a solid black tux, a crisp white shirt, and a solid black bowtie. But I found so many adorable bowties in different colors, themes, textures, I began having second thoughts. How fun would it be to incorporate your theme/colors/fiance’s hobbies through his bowtie?!
I wish I could say, “We’re doing it! we’re getting funky bowties for all the men in the wedding party!!” But no, we’re not. We’re sticking with solids. I know…so anticlimatic, BUT I hope some of you can find fun bowties for your beaus!
I realized many weddings distinguish the groom by giving him a different colored tie/bowtie. I was sold on the idea (I thought) and wanted Mr. Blush to don a white bowtie, the groomsmen to wear charcoal bowties, and our fathers to wear black ones. I was sold on this idea until, about a month ago. I realized that it didn’t really matter whether we needed to distinguish the groom or not (I mean who’s not going to know Mr.Blush is the groom??) and that I loved the black bowtie too much to let it go. So we made the decision to have everyone wear black bowties.
Maybe Mr. Blush can wear the “bee” bowtie for our rehearsal dinner?!
Is your groom wearing a bowtie?
