We both decided early on that Tahiti was it for our honeymoon. We are heading there in August and I think might be even more excited for that than for our wedding!!

oh my goodness!!!!! fate!! my fiance and i have dreamed of going to french polynesia way before we even got engaged, but once we did finally get engaged the first thing on both of our minds was our honeymoon. I mean I was excited about the wedding of course, but the honeymoon is where it’s at!! We immediately starting researching resorts and travel to Tahiti (or the other islands), but were totally devastated when we found out the costs involved with a honeymoon there. We’re still trying to learn to accept that its just not going to be feasible for us. 
BUT now i just came across this giveaway and that small flicker of hope is coming back! hey - it’s worth a shot right?!?

What a fabulous destination…! Beautiful any time of year, and unlike the Caribbean, you don’t have to worry about getting stuck in a hurricane (and after my near run-in with Hurricane Paloma, that’s definitely a concern on my list)…

My fiance and I have been dreaming of a honeymoon to Tahiti even before we were engaged, but like many others have pointed out, quickly found out it was beyond the budget… It would be fantastic to be chosen! Both being Polynesian, my fiance and I are planning to honeymoon in the South Pacific. However, the only island where we do not have family (otherwise it would turn into a family vacation!), is Tahiti. This would be a wonderful way for us to learn about our planned destination!

This has been my dream honeymoon since I was in High School, and have since gone on to study French and Francophone cultures in both undergrad and grad school! Sadly, we’ve had to rethink our plans since it’s waaaaay out of our budget.
