Free Stuff is AWESOME!

November 24th, 2008 @ 10:29 am by Mrs. Powder Puff

For a budget-savvy bride such as myself, anything that is free is for me. Recently I discovered that the fabulous Leslie Hamer is offering free invitation templates on her Web site. Check out this beauty:

Free Stuff is AWESOME! : wedding invitations Il 430x You can download this onto your computer, edit the text, and print it! AMAZING!!!

The only catch is the editing program Leslie used is only compatible with Macs. I learned this after downloading the template and the program, simply to be thwarted at the last minute. Shucks!

But, for all you lucky peeps who own Macs, download away!

If you’re not into the whole DIY thing, you can also visit Leslie’s Etsy Shop, Unless Someone Like You, and she’ll make something for you.

Have you come across any bridal freebies you’d like to share?

The only other freebies I’ve found are personal (Like a friend who will make me all my jewelry at cost!) But this is great!

I don’t know of many freebies per see because you always have to pay for shipping and handling and usually the product looks cheap. But for all you brides out there that are looking for cheap and nice. You can contact me. I am a bridal consultant and planner who not only offers my advice for free but can make the invitations, the save the date cards, the centerpieces and the favors all for little to no cost. You pay for the paper or flowers or whatever I may need which I can surely get at a discount through connections and I can put together something fabulous, then you pay for it to get shipped or picked up. If all else fails it is cheaper then anywhere else you can go.

http://www.weddingclipart.com has a bunch of nice wedding invitations (I like this one: http://www.weddingclipart.com/word/hand-tied-flower-bouquet-wedding-invitations.html) and you can download three of them FREE. You have to sign up for their free trial, but you can cancel after your download. I used Word on a PC to customize my invite.

Oh my goodness! I LOVE this design!! Bees, can any of you help me out? I cannot seem to find this file anywhere! I have been to etsy & big cartel & her website(s) and she doesn’t list it anywhere that I have seen!
If anyone has saved this, would you please share it with me?
We’re supposed to be sending out our invitations this week (10.10.10 bride here) and we had a big ole mishap (potential post coming up!) and this would just calm me down & make me smile & generally be awesome!
THANK YOU!
