Part IV: Final Single Moments

November 24th, 2008 @ 2:59 pm by Mrs. Pinot Noir

After we finished getting ready at our hotel in San Francisco we headed up to Auburge du Soleil in Napa Valley. The boys took their own car and the girls and my parents rode in a limo. The ride from San Francisco to Napa is about an hour and a half and Mr. PN and I both appreciated the time we were able to spend with our family and friends before the wedding day got underway.

Once we arrived at Auburge we were escorted to the private Cedar Room to relax and get ready while the guests began to arrive. It was so nice to have this private space. It was a little chilly so the staff brought us some tea to enjoy while we waited.

Our guests arrived on the bus we rented to shuttle everyone from the hotel in San Francisco. Several guests thanked us for this thoughtful service that allowed them to enjoy the reception without worrying about transportation.

Music was played while guests arrived by Wine Country Piano Music.

It was finally time to get dressed. It was that moment where it all started to feel real. My MOH and BM helped me get into my dress and attached my veil.

Don’t I look nervous?!

Mr. PN waits for it all to begin…

Right before we walked down the aisle we had a little drama in the Cedar Room. Our wedding bouquets were wrapped in tissue paper and when my MOH took her bouquet out of the vase, the tissue paper landed on top of a candle and caught on fire! Luckily we acted fast and emptied all the vases of water on the fire. My older brothers are both firefighters but we didn’t need to call them in!

Once the fire was out we all had a good laugh and it broke the tension before we walked down the aisle.

Up next, the Pinots walk down the aisle!
