One of the most laughable moments was during the toasts…when the best man spilled the beans to all 180 of our guests about how my husband and I really met…let’s just say I had edited the circumstances for my folks up until then…of course, they all thought it was hilarious and I was bright red!

One of the funniest momments in our wedding was during the ceremony, in a particularly serious part. The officiant switched our names around a bit and said “Brenny & Jent” instead of Brent & Jenny….needless to say everyone laughed. For the rest of the ceremony, anytime he would say both of our names he would say it very slowly so as to get it right….this brought on a lot more laughter each time he’d go to say. Our poor pastor was sweating fiercely for the rest of the ceremony!

At my cousin’s wedding this summer, they did a “Dollar Dance”, they had each person at the table give a dollar or whatever they had to go towards the couple’s first night on their honeymoon. Part of the game, is someone at the table is picked to bring the money up, but they made the person sitting to their left go with them. My sister’s fiance was picked and he happend to be sitting next to my fiance. They both really dislike dancing and each “couple” had to dance together down the entire floor to give the money to the couple.

Each couple had a guy and a girl, other than them. We were all wondering what they were going to do, when my fiance picked up my future brother in law and carried him the way a groom carries a bride through the threshold and twirled down the entire dance floor with him in his arms. Everyone thought it was really funny, but I think I found it more funny since I know how much they both hate dancing and being the center of attention!

My fiance and I had picked out the engagement ring a long time before he actually proposed. I finally thought the day had come, we were going to have dinner in ‘the city’ New York of course. I got all dressed up for dinner and no proposal. We took a walk in Central Park, freezing, still no proposal. He asked if I wanted a ride in horse and buggy and when I saw him reach in his pocket I dont think I even let him finish asking. .. I’m very impatient.

My fiance proposed at my parents house (I was still living at home with them). My sister and I had been out shopping for Christmas and when we came home, he was upstairs hiding. My sister started yelling about how she had to poop! She thought only the two of us and my mom were home. Mom asked me to go upstairs to get her wrapping paper and David was up there laughing!

Not really laugh out loud, but cute, at my fiance’s brother’s wedding, we couldn’t find the flower girl, age 6. After a few minutes, we found her sleeping on 2 folding chairs. She always sleeps when she feels like it, nothing can stop her! :)

The funniest moment at our wedding was watching the kids dance the night away. I wish we had video to embarrass them when they get married! :)

Just mildly amusing, but my fiance planned a very elaborate, traditional proposal: going upstate to a quiet, charming B&B; long, fancy dinner; returning to our quaint room to find dim lights and champagne. I knew he’d had the ring for a while, and going away for the weekend on mystery trips is not something we do, so I knew he was going to propose — which is a good thing, because when we arrived the innkeeper took him aside, not even out of earshot, and rehearsed all the details of the elaborate “secret” plan while I studiously pretended to be temporarily deaf :)

I was engaged in Greece! Most of my family still lives there so my husband proposed while we were there and later we celebrated with my family. He proposed on the beach and all of the tourists thought they were experience something “authentic” and starting taking pictures. Later they heard us speaking “American English” and were sorely disappointed.

Lots of funny moments, but I’ll keep it short:
While my aunt was performing a song during the ceremony, my husband noticed I had some lipstick on my teeth. I wasn’t getting his subtle hints, so he reached over and wiped it off very gently for me…this is while we are still standing up there. I thought this was pretty funny, but I felt bad there was laughter during my aunt’s song…she didn’t mind though :)

The thing that got people laughing at our wedding was our first (second? third?) kiss as a married couple. We didn’t really do that bit at the rehearsal so then-groom, now-husband had no idea how that was going to happen. As far as he was concerned, the kissing happens after “I now pronounce you man and wife” which was apparently not how it goes with our officiant so there was kiss#1. Kiss #2 happened after “Presenting Mr. and Mrs. N”, still not the right time. We finally got it right after “You may now kiss the bride”. Of course by then he’s already done that twice. We have awesome pictures of people’s reactions that range from laughter at first then to slightly increasing embarrassment. I did not mind all this though since 3 kisses are always better than one :)

Only one? Okay, my now Father-in-Law was recounting the life of my husband from infancy to his bringing me home to meet the family to the years of waiting for our wedding day (14 years). He begins by saying, “About 35 years ago on October 25th, M was born”. About 20 voices yelled out “October 24th!” including my husband and myself. My Father-in-Law turns to my husband and asks “Really?” It got the whole room laughing.

This isn’t really funny, but it was at the time, everyone was having a really good time at one of my friends weddings and they decided to “slide” across the beer covered floor later naming it “beer sliding” (this was at the very end of the night when all of the older folk had gone home and it was just us youngins having a good time)

At my BM’s wedding we had a tropical storm and power outage, the tent flooded the night before so the ground was muddy and soggy. The dance floor was wet and muddy from every traipsing across it. Some of the gms raided (this was in our yard) my towel closet and attempted to dry off the dance floor as much as possible.

We had to move into the main house on the property for the ceremony and as we are waiting at the top of the stairs to descend to the sound of the piano the fire alarm went off. Because of the power outage the phones weren’t back up and we couldn’t turn off the alarm. It took a good 15 minutes for the alarm to be turned off. The best part of that is that half of the bridal party were part of the local volunteer fire department.

We moved out to the tent for dinner and dancing and the bride had to kick off her shoes during the dancing because the dance floor was so wet that she and her dad were sliding all over across it. While the bridesmaids had already removed shoes and were standing on the dance floor watching with their feet and ankles covered in mud.

This wedding was one of the most fun weddings I have ever been too or in.

When my future husband proposed, he brought me to a private building that was special to both of us at midnight the day of our anniversary. He had cleared it with the owners beforehand (who were some members of our church), and used his own key to let us in. I was blindfolded, but I heard him yelp in surprise and then start talking to people. Apparently, the building- which is always empty at night- was being used that night by a college group on a roadtrip to volunteer in New Orleans as a place to sleep. The owners had forgotten that my fiance had asked to use it that night. So when my fiance took off the blindfold and proposed, the entire thing was witnessed by a random group of people from Minnesota. One guy even woke up in the middle of the proposal and yelled really loud, “Hey man! What’s going on?!” But they clapped and gave us high-fives after I said yes, and the guys even helped my fiance clean up all the rose petals, silk, and candles that he’d used to decorate, while the girls stood around and admired my new ring.

At my friend’s wedding the flower girl and ring bearer started walking down the aisle together. It didn’t take long before the ring bearer (3 yrs old) decided that it was his job to stomp/smash each and every petal the flower girl drop all the way to the end. It was so cute and funny. It was like he had decided to play the hot lava game down the aisle and the only safe spots were where the flower petals landed :)

It was really funny to watch my roomate jump 10 feet in the air to catch the boquet and then have my sister-in-law make the biggest “you gotta be kidding me” face since she didn’t catch it!

When my fiance went to my parents house to talk to my dad before proposing, he got lost! After stopping to ask for directions, he finally made it, but my parents weren’t home. So he called them and they finally arrived an hour later. My fiance tried to make a joke and instead of saying what he should have, he told my dad that we were breaking up! The best part was my dad’s response of, “OK.”

When my fiance proposed, we were on the beach just before sunset. We were sitting in low beach chairs, relaxing with a glass of wine and chatting. All of a sudden, the winds changed and brought the flies down to the beach. The flies immediately started biting our legs and ankles, which of course happened to be around the same time my fiance was waiting for the right moment. Finally, I had enough and got up, cursing the flies and walked down to the water. That just so happened to be the same moment he was going to propose so he called out to me to come back. Naturally, I’m stubborn so I refused and couldn’t imagine why he insisted on sitting there. The happy ending is that he realized his moment was right in front of him and came down to the water and got down on one knee and the rest is history!

One of our funniest moments was during the bouquet toss–there is a series of pictures where my bridesmaids are lunging for it and after one catches it, the other is gearing up to throw a punch! The pictures are hilarious.

I was really physically sick (not nerves) before our wedding and spent the night before, well, being sick (no alcohol!). My fiance was wonderful and stayed up cleaning up after me, so we were both really tired (and I still not feeling well) the next day. The photographer wanted to take pictures of us alone inside after the wedding even though it was rather dim. As instructed, we cuddled up for some romantic poses and my new husband softly whispered in my ear “I can’t wait to go to sleep with you!”

Considering the setting it was rather amusing (and probably good that we both shared the feeling of just wanting to go to bed to sleep)!

At a friend’s wedding where I was a bridesmaid, towards the end of the night a drunk groomsman kept bothering to photographer to take pictures of him doing all different things and hugging all different people. When they got the proofs back, he was everywhere!

A) I LOVE this movie and really, really want it.
B) Our proposal was hilarious. We’d been talking about getting engaged for about 6 months by the time he actually did it. He’d been throwing me off by going on and on with the bad economy meaning he couldn’t afford a nice ring as we went for a walk to our favorite park after dinner one night then suddenly dropped to one knee, pulled out his wallet and a $6 toe ring which he slipped on my pinky then began acting all excited. I was so utterly confused. He hadn’t actually asked me to marry him but his best man popped out of a shadow to take pictures of us. Behind my back, the best man then slipped him the REAL ring box and then the real proposal happened. When I realized what was going on I exclaimed “Holy Crap!” Once he got to the question part I told him to shut up before finally saying yes, of course!

My fiance and I picked out the ring together, but I didn’t know when he was going to propose. For our anniversary he took me up to Niagara Falls for the weekend. Just before we left for dinner he got down on one knee in our hotel room. I immediately pulled him up and started kissing him and crying- not realizing that he hadn’t asked a question, or even pulled a ring out! Luckily he finally got the chance after I calmed down!

On the night my now fiance proposed he took me on a little walk near the resort we were staying. We stopped in a park on sat on a bench people watching before he spoke his romantic words and asked that I marry him. The next day when we went back to the park to take photos of “the location” we became aware that it was dog walk where little pups could relieve themselves. The park was littered with leftover pup poo and several dog waste disposal cans - he said he guess he should have done some better scouting in the daylight.

My FI proposed on Friday the 13th. We were out for a run and stopped by a butterfly garden. He bent down to “tie his shoe” and I said sarcastically, “Oh, look, you’re down on one knee. Now if only you had a ring.” I was completely taken by surprise to find out he DID!

I think the funniest moment in our wedding was when I came off the dance floor to see the best man, with the groom’s mother on one arm and the groom’s great-aunt on the other, grinning like a maniac and announcing “Ladies, we have a date with Mr. Patron!” (before heading to the bar to down tequila shots… yes, all three of them!)

My FI pretended he found dogs droppings under the couch to get me in the living room when he proposed. It was totally him, totally cute, and I was surprised!

When my fiance proposed, he used a twist tie in the shape of a ring (because of an inside joke) instead of the real ring. I thought he was serious and I said “YES!” when he asked me to marry him. He then proposed again with the real ring and of course I said “YES!” again! He later told his parents: “She said yes to a twist tie!”

My college sweetheart proposed by surprising me with flowers which, I was so impressed because he arranged them himself, and he wrote me one of those make-you-cringe-it’s-so-sweet notes for me to find. If you knew my guy, you’d know mushy-gushy stuff is out of character for him, so this made it that much more special!

I knew a proposal was coming but also that he hadn’t had the chance to talk to my parents yet. One random evening, I get a phone call from my brother telling me to call my dad (who had tried to call me earlier, but my phone was in the other room). I call my dad, and he mentioned that my FI had called him, wanting to meet with him the following weekend. My dad actually asked if we had a fight! I calmly told him, “No, we’re doing really well actually.” Then my dad says, “Okay, don’t tell him I told you! He doesn’t want you to know.”
The following weekend, my parents, who live 2 hours north, were supposed to drop by my house. But they were over an hour late. By the time they got there, my mom admitted that they had just met up with FI and if I wanted to know what they had talked about. I told her, “No,” but she was so excited she said, “He’s going to propose to you!” Thaaaanks Mom and Dad =)
Of course, FI did propose a couple weeks later and HOW he proposed (a very sweet Scavenger Hunt ending with meeting him at a local lake) was the true surprise for me =)

I thought it was pretty funny that when my fiance took me to a very nostalgic location to propose. After he asked, and I said yes, we were headed home and he pulled a condom out of his pocket that he’d brought ‘just in case’. :p

When my fiance was down on his knee, he put the ring on me and asked me if it fit. I looked at him and said “I don’t know, I never wore a ring before.”

It ended up being super funny and a good story to tell. :)

My nephew was the ring bearer at a wedding for my brother’s best friend’s wedding. He walks down the aisle like planned and stood with my brother (the best man). And everything was going well until the minister asked for the rings. My brother proceeds to hand off the rings, and my nephew looks up kind of upset, saying, “Ugh… Daaaad, that’s my job!”

I love this movie so much! My funniest wedding moment was when we were coming out for our first dance and the photographer tripped backwards over the flower boy who was somehow on the dance floor instead of with his parents. She got right back up and one of my bridesmaids scooped him back to his table. Luckily nobody was hurt but it did make for a memorable moment.

my funniest wedding moment was when my aunt (divorced) caught the bouquet, ran to her son (13 years old) and bribed him with $10 to catch the garter. my other aunt overhear this and told him he doesnt no what he’s getting himself into and that he should really ask for $20.
conclusion: my cousin made $20 for catching the garter and was forced to dance around his mom =)

My fiance and I with our 3 girls ( two from a previous marriage…then we had another girl together) went to Maui to get married on the beach.
My oldest daughter was video taping us interlocking arms for our wedding toast with champagne at our condo. Seconds after our first sip, we were looking lovingly into each others eyes, when our youngest, who is 4 years old, yells from the bathroom….”Mommy… I went POOP!” Its all caught on tape…its shows us all laughing when we realize it would be part of our very special day! Forever! hahahah

The proposal had a funny moment…….

When my fiancee proposed, my answer to him was in Spanish “Si” (he knows a bit of Spanish from what I teach him) and although he knows what it means, he didn’t get it, he thought I said “see?” Of course, he asked me “see?…..” so I had to say it in English “Yes” to confirm. It was funny!

I think it depends on what people consider funny. When my husband proposed to me, he goes through this long winded story and goes “I don’t want you to be my girlfriend any more.”

*pause*

“I want you to be my wife.”

Good thing too, because I was ready to smack him.

During our money dance, my auntie’s lace blouse got stuck in all the pins that where on my husband. She tried to “un-pin” herself for several minutes but was snagged in too many hard to reach places. All the other women in line thought she was “hogging” up all the time during the dance. Finally, several bridesmaids came to her and my husband’s rescue.

When my fiance was out of the country for Christmas I picked out my engagement ring (we had talked about getting engagement I was to only determine my ring size) and put it on hold for him. He called me to say Merry Christmas and I said- I have my ring all picked out!

My beautiful wedding dress had spaghetti straps and a very low v-neck. As we were taking pictures before the ceremony our photographer suggested I do the walking arm and arm pose with my two sisters. As we strutted our stuff down the lawn, my younger sister stepped on my dress pulling just hard enough to snap the strap of my dress. Because my arms were linked, I couldn’t react quick enough to grab my dress. Before I knew it, we had ourselves a wardrobe malfunction. My bridesmaids and a few lucky strangers got to enjoy a pre-ceremony peep show. The funniest part was that my photographer asked if I wanted to include those with my proofs.

During our grand entrance, the train of my dress came un-bustled, my heel got caught in the lace, and I tripped. Half of our guests gasped in horror. If not for the literal support of my new Mr., I would have slammed face down on the dance floor! :)

My cousin was proposed to with Christmas lights that read “will you marry me” in a local park, but someone called the cops because they thought it was a prank! Their proposal was featured in the newspaper even because of it!
