About Mrs. Coconut

I hope everyone had a very happy Thanksgiving weekend! I’m starting to feel normal again after all the wedding hoopla, and I’m ready to blog! First up, some after pictures of our tiny apartment. (We’ve actually started discussing renting a larger place, so this may have all been for naught. Oh well, ya gotta roll wit’ da punches.)

After:

Before, lots of boxes and an unusable desk:

After, still lots of boxes, but with shelves:

Picture of our wedding poster and engagement picture (with our $300 couch from The Salvation Army):

There are two wedding gifts in this picture. One of our lamps from Pottery Barn (we have two of them) and an HP Digital Photo Frame:

It’s nicer to come home, but there’s still much organizing left to do. Maybe we’re on a 2-month plan to get the place back in shape! That is, before we decide to pick up and move again!

How long did it take you to get your place back into shape after your wedding?

We still have a room stacked to the brim with boxes. We managed to clean everything else up, but for some reason, can only manage to clear out one box at a time before giving up! So we just hide everything in there. It’s our secret stash room. ;)

You are on top of things! We’ve only recently cleaned up our “crap room” (or as Mrs. Canary calls it “secret stash room”). Thing for us are just starting to get to normal living conditions… it’s almost been 6 months! Bravo, Coconut, bravo!

Lookie you! Nice job :) Ah, I recognize those ikea shelves well. I’m actually going to post a diy tutorial on making curtains to dress those babies up! Good job, girl.

I don’t know what we’ll do after our wedding in July. We just finished clearing out one of our crap rooms and we’ve lived in our house for a year!

Even if you move, it will be so much easier now that you’re organized.

It’s been more than one month and I’m happy to add three square feet of space to my living room. This comes only after donating four boxes of old stuff to Goodwill and selling a box of wedding stuff. It helps that our guest bath is our of commission and has now become a storage area for our C&B gifts! I’m hoping to get the living back to normal before Xmas. Then I’ll start to tackle the bedrooms!

Where did you get your TV stand? I have been looking for something like that forever!
