Chair Sashes

December 3rd, 2008 @ 12:57 pm by Mrs. Blush

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

I was back in Atlanta for a week of wedding madness. It’s almost FIVE weeks away! Things are slowly chugging along, and to my surprise I’m not stressed yet. :)

We visited the reception site and went over many many details, one of which were the chair sashes!
We asked Angela, our reception site coordinator, if she could find us dark gray and peach chair sashes. She painstakingly found us the perfect shade of peach and here is what the two colors look like:

Please ignore the second bow on the peach chair- they are meant to be separate. Left is the platinum satin, right is the peach satin + peach organza.

We (Mama Blush) and I decided to stick with platinum. But I didn’t want satin, so Angela showed us this:

Platinum organza — we loved the subdued color yet perfect for our winter wedding. We also used the same organza sash for our engagement party. However, I wanted something different than a bow. So I played with it a bit and came up with this! (I’m sure this is not a new idea- but I’ve never seen it before so I was really excited when I came up with it)

It’s a little messy now- but this is what the final product will be like.

How are you adorning your chairs?

I love the platinum! It will look so perfect for a winter wedding and the way you tied it kinda of looks like a flower.

And 5 weeks?!?! How exciting!

So pretty - that rosette is really cool. Can you do a tuturial on it?

I’m a january bride too and I just found a great place to get my chair covers from. It’s weird thinking that I’m in the 1-month mark but I’m excited! Good luck!

I am a beach bride so we are going to be using the organza, but instead of a bow it will be held together with a starfish. ;)

I like the rosette. I think Miss Fondue did a tutorial on it a few weeks ago.

i see you posted this in December. Congrats on your wedding.

I LOVE the platinum sashes. I have been looking for them all over and I can’t find them. Yours aren’t for sale are they? And I really like how you tied them. Can you explain how you did it?
