Gifting Decisions

December 5th, 2008 @ 8:25 am by Mrs. Peep Toe

So as you know, I purchased some awesome vintage wraps for my ‘maids already. I have also been on the hunt for fabulous earrings for my Lovely Ladies for quite some time now.

I have searched the internet through Etsy and other sites, and I’ve even found a few sites that use eco-friendly materials. BUT I have yet to find anything I love that is affordable. That was until Mrs. Onion so perfectly posted about Dahsa Boutique, and included a 30% discount!

I found a bunch of earrings that I think would be great, and while they won’t be eco-friendly, they are made in San Francisco-so at least they are local.

Here’s my question to the hive: Should I give each lady the same earrings? A different pair for each? Or should I give my MOH a different pair than the rest (she is already wearing a different dress)?

P.S. - They will all be wearing chocolate brown dresses, with gold shoes, and all the earrings above with be ordered in either brown or green.

Please, I need advice. I am horrible at making decisions on my own, and all Mama Peep Toe said was, “they are lovely.”

And if you have any links to eco- and budget-friendly earrings, I would be so up for any suggestions!!

I would give them all different earrings! I think that would look lovely! I gave each of my girls a different necklace but they wore the same earrings (pearl studs)

I think it depends on how many ladies you have. I only had three, so I decided to get them all the same earrings which looked AWESOME on all of them and worked great with the dress. They were the pearls I posted in my sale post. I also had brown dresses and gold shoes for the girls.

Will all their dresses and shoes match? Or are they wearing different styles and shoes? If they are different, I’d say different with the earrings. If they are the same, I might keep the matching going.

Of the ones you picked, I like A the best! HTH. Happy to share the sale love :)

These are the earrings I wore for my wedding. It was a custom order and they turned out perfect… she’s really great to work with!

I ordered my bridesmaids earrings from Dasha and they were perfect! We got tons of compliments. I liked them so much I went back and ordered myself a few pairs.

The earrings come wrapped individually in cute little boxes tied with bows. To make it easier on yourself I would order all the same, otherwise you will have to unwrap and rewrap every box. If you only have a few bridesmaids though, then it wouldn’t be too much trouble!

I also like B and C. I would go with green though, just for a little pop of color!

Different ones! That way you can pick out a pair for each of them that they’ll be most likely to wear again. I love the second and last ones :)

why not get a few different ones and then not open the boxes and just pass them out. It will be exciting to see who gets which since they are all beautiful!

I say different ones! I gave my bridesmaid’s all COMPLETELY different gifts– because they’re completely different kind of girls, and they were really impressed. it was a huge hassle for me though so I don’t necessarily endorse this option, but where you can do little individual things– go for it.

Those are so pretty! Different ones, probably… and I’m LOVING that brown (smoky topaz, I think)! Are you sure you want a peridot color when your other accent color is kelly green? (I’m a bit obsessed with color, can you tell?) Are the girls going to wear kelly sashes or anything?

I say different earrings! BUT, even if the style is different i’d keep them all brown or all green. Personally I think all green would be a nice way to keep some of your accent color. So pretty!

I also say to give them all different ones - mainly because so many of those earrings are adorable!!! It’d be hard to choose just one. :)

Alright, everyone seems to have a different opinion, but everyone loves the earrings. So I am going with different ones for each lady!!! Thanks soo much for the advice!! I knew the hive would help.

i think different in the sense of same design different color stones - or different designs same color stones! that way they still coordinate but are unique either way!

also check out this great etsy seller - awesome jewelry, and her earrings are more reasonably priced than dasha boutique, she’s worked with me on on custom orders and was great!

http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5659871

she has more stuff on her blog that’s not listed in her shop too,i think you can find the blog via the etsy shop

happy shopping!
