This post was supposed to be an exciting post, explaining that we booked our ceremony musician. Much to my dismay, that is not the case. After a couple of weeks of trying to set up a meeting with a violinist, we finally scheduled one for earlier this week. Although I had strep and wanted nothing more than to lay around in my pajamas, I decided it was best to keep our meeting. Mr. Spring Roll and I anxiously awaited the arrival of the violinist. Fifteen minutes passed, and we thought she may be running late. Sixty minutes passed, still no violinist, call, or e-mail. We were stood up.
This is my first big vendor let down, and it hit me hard.
I was so disappointed that I nearly cried. Mr. Spring Roll, calm as always, reassured me that we would find another musician. At first, it was difficult for me to see the positive in this situation. Now I realize that we are lucky; we were able to see that the violinist wasn’t a good choice and now have a second chance. Although it is easier said than done, I need to put the disappointment aside and keep my hopes high that we will find a great musician; after all, the wedding is only three months away!
