About Mrs. Crab Cake

Bling

December 10th, 2008 @ 4:18 pm by Mrs. Crab Cake

I’ve been looking at wedding jewelry on Etsy. I’m still kinda up in the air about jewelry. I don’t think I want a necklace because the bodice of my dress is so elaborate, but I definitely want earrings.

Here are some of my favorites from Etsy:

cc1

Vintage find from BelCanto

cc2

Enchanted in gold from LuxDeluxe, which is currently residing at the top of my list

cc3

Cherish from LuxDeluxe, also at the top of my list

cc4

Lotus from LuxDeluxe

cc5

Vintage Button earrings from WiredVintage

cc6

Mariee Earrings from JLeeOhioDesigns. Aren’t those the most gorgeous earrings ever?

cc7

Forever from TeleeCouture.

So, my dress is gold, and my engagement ring is white gold (my wedding band will also be white gold). Should I wear gold or silver jewelry? Or should I try to mix it up a little?

The enchanted in gold earrings look just like the ones TS Tiara made to match my headpiece! I love them, and all of the ones above. I think gold would look spectacular.

How much do you LOVE luxdeluxe? One of my favorite jewelry sellers on Etsy! So, my dress was ivory with a lot of gold embroidery everywhere. My rings are white gold. I decided that I should accessorize on that day with what would go with what I was wearing. My rings are something that is part of that day, and I will wear forever. But everything else had to go with my dress. So I wore yellow gold everywhere else - earrings, necklace, hairpiece. I didn’t even notice it, and I don’t think anyone else did. I think you can totally mix them!

I love them all. I love the second pic and the last two the very best. As for mixing it up- I am struggling with that decision too. I think I am going to go stick with the silver/white gold look.

I wore jewelry from Luxdeluxe for our wedding. She is a fantastic etsy seller! Anything you get from her will be be beautiful AND well made.

I vote #2. Go with Gold to match your dress. They’re lovely!

I think gold would be nice! I struggled with that too, but I think it’d nicely compliment your dress while also setting your rings a-sparkle!

I have a dress that falls much more into the gold category and a ring that is on the silver end. I’m going gold with the jewlery because I think it gives it more of a vintage feel which I love.
#3 is my favorite. They are beautiful.

I have earrings very similar to those in #2 (one of your top picks). I absolutely adore them. I think the gold would be lovely!

p.s. I plan to wear gold jewelry with my dress (which has a more vintage style to it) and my e-ring is white gold. A little mixing never hurt anyone! :)

Mis crap cake! I know you said that the Enchanted set is at the top of your list, but I have to give you a warning. I ordered the “Heavenly” set from LuxDeluxe for my MOH. It is the same style necklace but with a pearl instead of the crystal. I LOVE LuxDeluxe and have ordered many things from them (including all the jewelry for my wedding party and the mothers). I was dissappointed with the Heavenly necklace though. This is because the two chains end up twisting up together and looking funny, pulling the pearl up close to the neck. There is no way to prevent this either. I just thought I would give you a heads up because I would hate for you to look back at your pictures and see a bunched up necklace…
