About Mrs. Champagne

Headpiece Heaven

December 12th, 2008 @ 12:28 pm by Mrs. Champagne

I’ve been searching for a flower to put in my hair during the reception. I’ll wear a chapel length mantilla veil for the ceremony, so I thought a pretty flower would be fun for the reception. Of course etsy has wonderful options, and I’ve seen several I love, but I came across Sara Gabriel, a headpiece and veil designer. I love her designs, and they’re all unique in their own way.

Veronica comb: Hand-formed feather flower with ostrich accents & Swarovski rhinestone/crystal center. So unique!
Headpiece Heaven : wedding accessories hair vail Veronic

Joan Comb: Clusters of large freshwater pearls & Swarovski rhinestone balls. Who doesn’t love rhinestone balls? ;)

Breanna Hair Pin: feather flower hairpin with swarovski rhinestone center. I love the delicacy of this flower.

Ariel hair pins: Real seashell hairpins sold as a set of 3 or 5. How cute would this be for a summer ocean-side wedding?!
Headpiece Heaven : wedding accessories hair vail Ariel P

Melissa headband: french lace headband with accent organza ribbon & swarovski crystal detail.
Headpiece Heaven : wedding accessories hair vail Melissa

Stella Pins: mink puff combs with swarovski crystal accent. How fun are these! Little mink puffs- perfect for a winter wedding, no?

I still haven’t made any decisions, but I thought I would share her unique designs. She also has gorgeous veils and jewelry.

What designer did you use for your hair accessories?

They are gorgeous indeed. Miss Blush did a DIY post awhile back with a design that has a similar effect as the fabric flower combs by this designer, for those who are craft inclined. Websites that don’t list prices freely make cheapos like me feel nervous ;-) But they are beautiful, Miss C.

@austyn: couldn’t agree more with you about the no price listing- why do they do that?! So silly.

I bought a flower from butterflyenchantress on etsy and it is GORGEOUS. It looks and feels like a real flower and also looks just like it did in the photo on the website (which is important because she has a no return policy). I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a floral hairpice.

I used Sarah Gabriel for my veil and I loved working with her! The designs are amazing (you pick a base veil and customize it from endless options), the shop is adorable, and the service is impeccable (she even sends you a card on your wedding day)! The store is literally overflowing with albums that include thank you notes from brides and pictures of them on their wedding days. I would highly reccommend Sara Gabriel to any CO bride. However, the drawback is that the products are on the medium to spendy side of the price fence; my fingertip-length viel with a pencil edge and scattered Swarovski crystals and pearls was $250. That being said, it matches my dress perfectly and was much less expensive than the $1500 version that was made to match my dress (from Pricsilla of Boston). The hairpieces seemed to range from $30-150, from what I can recall…

I bought a Sara Gabriel vail and headpiece for my wedding. I even got to meet her at her trunk show — very bubbly and creative gal!

I love the diaphanous flowers by Jennifer Behr and Erin Cole. I ended up going with Jennifer Behr, which were a bit less expensive (but still too pricey)!

This website has beautiful flower ribbon belts with vintage rhinestone/crystal centers. I think these would be a perfect accessory to a wedding dress or bridesmaid dress!
