Ring Shots

December 16th, 2008 @ 5:45 pm by Mrs. Bee

After Anne Ruthmann posted this fantastic tutorial on how to take ring shots on Weddingbee PRO, Weddingbee reader Lillindy used Anne’s advice to capture these amazing pictures of her Tacori ring below.  Of course that gave us an idea for a fun new feature: we’re going to feature ring shots that you send us dear readers!

So read Anne’s tips, get creative and take some fabulous pictures of your ring, write up a little description, and email us with your username at guest at weddingbee.com.  I’ll definitely be taking pictures of my own rings and posting them here too.  We can’t wait to see what our talented readers come up with! :)

Oh my goodness, I’m so honored these got posted! Thanks so much Mrs. Bee everyone for the comments!

I was scrolling down looking at the posts today and my photo caught my eye and I literally gasped out loud. These were seriously so fun to do, it was all with stuff I just already had around the house and it was really fast…no more than an hour. And all these photos are unedited. =D Can’t wait to see what you all come up with as well.

@D.Marie: Don’t give up! When I took my ring shots, it was with a simple point and shoot. It takes a lot of trial and error and most of them will be blurry. Did you try placing the camera on a stack of books and angling it? That helped me! Good luck.

@D.Marie: Just make sure your camera is on the right setting and you do get a lot of blurry shots. Sometimes you have to take 15 good pictures just to get one good one. Also, the lighting makes a world of difference. Some pictures I tried to take just didn’t come out because the lighting was off. Don’t give up!
