Well, actually, that’s just one thing on the list, but we’ll talk about that later. Right now, we need a flower girl dress. The problem is, we just can’t justify spending $150 (which seems to be the average) on a dress for a toddler that she will outgrow by the time Easter rolls around.
Remember our color palette? Since the bridesmaids will be wearing chocolate brown, I figured our flower girl should wear some combination of our colors: pink, cream and brown.
Here’s my niece. Tell me she isn’t the cutest little thing you’ve ever seen! Even with the cookie mouth and drool on her shirt!

I did consider Target or a department store, but most of the dresses on the racks these days are holiday themed. Our wedding is in March, so it’s too early for the Easter sales, and by the time the Easter dresses will be out, we’ll be cutting it too close. Too bad we aren’t having a winter wedding! You’d be amazed at all of the cute fur-trimmed dresses on sale!

I think you should wait till the Easter merchandise rolls out. Certainly there will be plenty of choices then and you know that the Easter stuff will be out no later that February 14th.
I love #4. It has pink & brown and I love that the brown underskirt (or whatever it’s called) peeks out.

If you wait until Easter you’ll also have a better idea of what size dress she’ll need. Kids grow so fast!!
It might be hard to keep one item on your list for so long, but it might also pay off!
Also, I always recommend checking out kids consignment shops. We got a really beautiful flower girl dress at one for super cheap. They always have ones because, like you say, girls grow out of the dresses before another event comes along!

I’m doing chocolate brown and pink too! (but with a really dark pink since we have an October wedding)
Just curious… What are your guys wearing (tux and vest color?)

my vote is for the neopolitan one you featured in your color post. I knew a family that bought those for their girls’ easter dresses and they were ADORABLE! Dresses they would wear again.
Given your neopolitan color scheme, I think #4 would be precious. And niece Dumpling is just about the cutest thing EVER! Are you a photographer in your secret life? Great picture!
I just got the most adorable flower girl dresses at crewcuts on sale - I got three for $100! They had some great styles if you haven’t seen them.

i wanted these ridiculously expensive flowergirl dresses ($300+). obviously i was not willing to pay that so i went to etsy.com alchemy, posted an ad for 2 custom flowergirl dresses. they came out AMAZING and i paid $80 for the two and they were fit exactly to my two girls! i HIGHLY recommend it… i can send you the woman who did mine if you’re interested.

Do you know anyone who is good at sewing? My mom made my niece’s flower girl dress and it was sooo cute! I’m guessing it didn’t cost more than $30 for the cost of the fabric and other supplies! All your dresses above are very cute though! I think the 4th one is adorable, but if the brown doesn’t match your bridesmaid dresses it might really show in the pictures.
I LOVE #4!! It totally made me gasp out loud at work. Seriously. I am totally getting that one for my flower girl.

Niece dumpling is so precious, and i love #4!! I agree with Suzie, check out consignment stores to see what you can find. I have no idea what we’re going have my niece and cousin, as the flower girls, wear but I know I am def going to scour the consignment shops to try to find something for them! No use in spending too much on little ones when this could be the only time she will wear it

I’d also like to second ebay. There are a ton of brand new flower girl dresses that ordinarily run over $100 for $10-25. CUTIE PATOOTIE! I like the one with sleeves just because your wedding is in march and it will still be cool (or will it? In Vegas?)… all these dresses look rewearable, so hopefully by easter she wont outgrow them! But I think pink would look stunning against the brown BM dresses.

We have the same color scheme as you and there are a few cream with pink dresses here that I have my eye on. Some of them are also pretty affordable.

Their dresses are fabulous and so, so many are under 50 dollars (sweet!) And if you have questions they answer within 24 hours. Great service. And they have great little boy clothing if you’re still needing that.

I was just at my target and saw a super cute pink and brown dress that did not look “holiday” at all. I couldn’t find it on the website. Its worth a try.
An unexpected place that you may want to look is Burlington Coat Factory. I was there a week ago and saw a ton of super cute dresses.
