During the second half of the cocktail hour we did our group pictures on the terrace overlooking the valley. I know that group pictures are not the most exciting part of the recap, so I will try to keep this on the shorter side. As an extra added bonus (and to make this post more exciting), I will include the list I gave our photographer of the formal shots. When I was making the list I really tried to strike a balance of getting all the shots we would want without going overboard.

I’ve broken down the formal portraits into three sections: bride’s family, groom’s family, and wedding party. In this post I will do the family photos and the wedding party photos will be in the next post. And don’t worry, I didn’t include every formal picture!

Bride’s Family

• Bride with brothers
• Bride & groom with bride’s family

Groom’s Family

• Groom with mother
• Groom with father
• Bride & groom with groom’s parents

• Bride & groom with groom’s family

Formal photos are really time consuming and to be honest, a little boring, but you still want a nice shot with everyone. If we had all the time in the world I would have liked to take a photo with each of our guests!
