Fun With Rhymes

December 21st, 2008 @ 1:57 pm by Mrs. Powder Puff

And now, for your reading pleasure… a poem.

When I come home in the evening
Planning to work on my wedding delights,
I instead am drawn to another,
Into the arms of my obsession- Twilight!

I finished the first book in no time at all
The second even quicker still.
The third with barely the blink of an eye
And now the fourth- I’m getting my fill.

My invites are needing attention
I have so many things to do.
But being a bride is put on hold
Until Edward and I bid adieu!

What distracts you from completing wedding projects?

I really liked the cheesyness of the whole twilight thing… until it totally glamorized teenage pregnancy! the fourth book is totally disappointing!

Oh my gosh! I am so addicted as well. I read all 4 books and 12 chapters of midnight sun in a week and I’m getting married in 2 weeks! Now I’m soo behind! But I just loved the books!

LOVE the books! I was a little concerned when I realized that I had it in common with my 20 year old cousin (I’m 30). But this makes me feel so much better!!

Man, I read the entire series over the course of 10 days, even succumbing to the need and buying the last two books at a bookstore in South Africa. They are SO GOOD. I am thinking of re-reading them, but my husband might start to wonder whom I love more, him or Edward Cullen.

@Cassie: LOL! I agree, they’re very addictive. I think I may need to put them away for awhile. Mr. Powder Puff is soooo sick of hearing how awesome Edward is. :)

@ Nicole - I haven’t read the Twilight books and probably won’t. But the Host was a good piece of sci-fi. I read it over Thanksgiving after picking it up from the library.

I’m a lil’ at the game, but I just started reading Twilight yesterday and I’m already halfway through the book. Talk about addicting!
