Our Christmas Card & Cast

December 29th, 2008 @ 9:30 am by Mrs. Taffy

We hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday! :)

I’ve already posted about our decision to use our engagement photos for holiday gifts, but I did not mention our holiday card! I didn’t want to spoil the surprise for our friends before the cards reached their mailboxes.

We love it! We do have the “Christmas Cookin” album, but we don’t own the Julie Andrews record. ;)

Instead of having cards made, Mr. Taffy just put the text on the image with photoshop and we ordered 4 x 6 prints. It was a great cost savings for us!

Our Christmas was very eventful this year. Mom Taffy slipped on the ice on her way to a midnight church service and broke her arm in two places! :( Mr. Taffy and I spent the night and morning in the ER. Poor Mom Taffy! Luckily we were able to find an appointment yesterday to have her arm set and put in a cast.

On Christmas day, we decorated her temporary cast with a Christmas light bulb necklace. I’m pretty sure my mom will kill me if I post the whole picture, so here’s her cast:

Her new cast is pink!

Due to my mom’s broken arm, I will not be able to make the trip to Chicago for the bee meet up. :( I am sad to miss meeting the fabulous Chicago bees, but am happy to help my mom while her arm heals. She has taken care of me through many injuries and recoveries over the years!

I hope that you all had a hospital free holiday!

So sorry to hear about your mom! Breaking a bone is no fun, I broke both my arms at different times. Wishing her a fast recovery!

Thanks for the well wishes! :) Mom Taffy is very thankful that she broke her left arm, as she is right handed. :)
