About Mrs. Dumpling

Mr. Dumpling sort of makes fun of me for this blog. Even before I was a Bee, and I would pretend to choose a “Bee name,” he would laugh and mock me endlessly. However, I suspect Mr. Dumpling secretly reads this blog. There were a few subtle clues here and there, but on Christmas morning, I was convinced. You see, when it was time to open presents, I got something wrapped in this paper:

*This is a different gift (a Juicy Couture robe to wear on my wedding morning) from him, but the packaging looked the same…recognize the paper?

He must have read this post about my terrible experience shopping for wedding shoes and decided to help me out. He really out did himself this year! Now I no longer have to walk down the aisle with bare feet. HeeHee. :)

Enter the Emily, by Kate Spade…. the most fantastic wedding shoes, ever. Not only are they perfect, but they also have the same name as my dress! Is the universe trying to tell me something?

Try to picture Mr. Dumpling walking into the department store to look for wedding shoes for me. He was explaining to the salesperson what my dress was like (yes, he saw it… loooong story… don’t hate me!) and how tall I was and what sort of shoes I usually wear. He was completely out of his element and probably annoyed because, as he sometimes puts it, “You can get those same shoes at Target for $20 without the name on them!” But he was a good sport and spent quite a bit of time looking at all of the shoes, trying to decide which was best for me. That’s LOVE, people!

I am so excited to walk down the aisle in my super new fantastic shoes! Did you get something for the holidays specifically for your wedding day?

Aw I thought this post was going to be about ME! (My name is Emily). That really is love, though. I’m not sure sure my fiance would venture into the unknown territory of the female shoe department. And I definitely don’t think he would do that great of a job! Yay for your Emily’s!
